If I were to complain to the FOS about the settlement figure from Nemo would it be unfair rebate or unfair settlement figure as I did not get a penny back in fact I paid over £2000 more than I borrowed even though I had made monthly payments for 14 months. The more I think about it the madder I'm getting as I just cannot see how this can be right
It can be right and most probably will be right but why just for unfair rebate. Were you missold on this??

You have to put unfair rebate against a PPI policy I think or unfair settlement/rebate...

They made me and Di go to the insurer with these complaints after being told by Tiggrae that claims for a living it was against the lender:confused: .

I have not heard from anyone winning though yet on the unfair rebate alone and you also have to prove the rebate was unfair...ie settlement figures etc and also this type of complaint is apparently against the insurer in that they under wrote the policy...??? Its called unfair terms in consumer contracts regs. You have to find a term that is unfair in the policy...

I cannot help anymore on this one for unfair rebate as we are non the wiser yet with our claims for this (both me and Di!!).

Why can you not go for the misselling??

i have decided to try to claim my ppi on a welcome finance secured loan, has anyone had much success with this company, i did try searching the site but couldnt really find much, also i took out a loan twice and both times the insurance was paid in a lump sum in the actual loan, does that make much of a difference. I think i will have a good case as the first time when i sent the form back i did not fill in the ppi bit and they sent it back and the second time i enquired about takling out separate ppi and the person in the office said it was unlikely the agreement would be processed without taking their ppi. Any info would be gratefully received, and pm's welcome.

    Hi there

You have a good case or 2 here hun, I would defo try to complain and reclaim.;)

Have you still the paperwork for these?

I know many going through complaints about Welcome, and I believe they were covered by GISC prior to Jan 2005, its worth going for.;)

Yes I already have a claim with the FOS for mis sold PPI on that loan, just can't see why I would need to pay back more than £2000 more than I borrowed after making payments over 14 months of over £5000

It would be because of the rebate you recieved against the insurance (or not!!) and also the insurance had the interest on it too. If you win with the missold it will be like not repaying more than £2000 extra on the loan...

When was this loan taken out... ??

My firstplus was a loan of £21463 (including the insurance) and then repayments of £11K and still owed them £20500...
