PPI Reclaiming discussion Part III

You are absolutely right. Why can't the FOS be more proactive rather than leave the calculations to the businesses. I am not going to accept the calculations until I can see a proper breakdown. I know I've won back ppi insurance from BH which should be a victory but I am rather saddened by the outcome as having campaigned hard for so long (12 months) it feels like it's all been for nothing if it means giving it all back to the business to reduce the cost of my existing loan.
Well done on your success. Did you end up taking BH to court?0 -

I think i will have a good case as the first time when i sent the form back i did not fill in the ppi bit and they sent it back and the second time i enquired about takling out separate ppi and the person in the office said it was unlikely the agreement would be processed without taking their ppi. Any info would be gratefully received, and pm's welcome.
Hi Jamie I'm currently working on Welcome - don't think there has been much success with them. I sent in my SAR request and all I received back was a list of phone calls. Rang requesting agreements and followed up with a call. Today have received a letter saying they need £1 for copy docs when I sent £10 with my SAR. Bunch of idiots!0 -

Hi Robbie
Yes Welcome were a member of GISC prior to the FSA in Jan 2005, so if you have a complaint with these, then go for it.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Tell them that you are writing to the OFT who they hold their consumer credit licence with and also the FSA about not treating you fairly and also the rebate was unfair.
As regards the misselling then just pursue your complaint with the further proof.0 -
