May I ask what your complaint with Sainsbury is?

2 issues - one is the failure to provide a CCA whch contains the required terms and conditions. They refused to consider this as something within their remit until the OFT wrote and told them it was :p and for miss-sold PPI which ties in with the first issue.

They have also contnued to provde info about this debt to 3rd party credit reference agencies as well as apply interest rather than put it on hold pending the outcome of a dispute.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Well done to you bathgatebuyer. How long before the OFT got involved with this from when you informed them?
  • I only sent my 1st letter last week but just wanted to confirm that if HFC decline to give me my PPI back and I have to take it to the ombudsman, does this mean Il' probably have to wait upto a year for it to be sorted?

mine has been 10 months beng dealt with by third part, at the adjudicater stage know.hope it is soon and is settled in my favor as i belive have a good case
Shouldn't be too long then now. Hope you win.

Hope everyone sold a single premium wins. They are trying to ban them still. These should be automatic paybacks. None of them are worth anything as they are debt upon debt and only sold for profits of the banks...

    Roll on the ban..:D

Very quickly. Had a response letter from them within about a week. I'd asked them what recourse was available when a bank dd not comply with a CCA request and they suggested the FOS was the most appropriate route. When I forwarded that letter to the FOS, the FOS position went from being something they weren't interested in to considering it!

I have notced on CAG that a few people who have done similar with the CCA issues and the FOS have been told that the FOS do not think it is in their remit to consider the legality of agreements, so I'm not holding out much hope on that front!
