I am on my daughters lappy... I have to sit in my bedroom otherwise as my computer is a desk top... I want a lappy too...

I was gonna ask Jamie if I can use his, his is one of those ones attached to the TV, but as he is in his room doing some of his work I am unable to..... , I do not like my lappy, its given me nothing but trouble, so when I have the spare funds...its time for me to go back to a desktop.......:D .

I was guided by the FOS and they told the loan provider to settle them separately cause they had not taken on board they were re financed. Have told them time and time again but they would not get the message. Ultimately loan provider chose to ignore my compalaints and tried to dupe me into being grateful about what they were offering me.

Thank you for your help think crisis time has come and I have given them enough time to mess about.:D
Going to go through them my way tomorrow...can't promise anything though as I am no expert...:D

  • Hi this is my first post so I hope i'm doing it right! I'm really stuck and haven't a clue about insurances - My husband took out a car loan with Northern Rock in 06 for 5.5k for 3 years with Loanprotect Gold - he can't remember much of the phone call but from what the advisor told him it PPI seemed to be the thing to do! Since watching ur programme i'm wondering if i can claim back! My husband is self-employed and has been for over 15 years and is paying class 2 ins. We also have another disability income benefit policy covered by scottish provident for sickness, accident and disability which makes me think that he is already covered - he wasn't asked had he any other policies. The scottish Prov covers my husband for up a 40ft ladder which i don't no if the NRock one does. I hope this makes sense and hope someone can help!! Thanks :)
  • Hi everyone,
As if by magic from my post yesterday I received a letter from HSBC stating that they require the full 8 weeks to investigate my complaint and will be in touch in this time.
Is this just the standard yarn they send everyone or is it looking favourable in anyone's experience?
    Cheers

I think you could have a claim here but probably with any other reasons too from the link below. Who actually sold the policy to you as these are the ones that you make the complaint to if different to Northern Rock...

Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the letter that you send. There is also a template letter on there too but sometimes it can be better to make your own up from this.

You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.

After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

This is standard in that they HAVE to give you a repsonse within 8 weeks...Let us know how you get on.

    Good luck
