Hi again just about to send off my SAR request to the Halifax. I am also asking for details about my credit card I have with them. Will I have to send off a separate request to their credit card service or will I get all I need from there Halifax address

    Hi Dave
Personally I had taken it that if its one firm they would have to provide you with everything they have on you, such as loans, credit cards etc and with whatever you have with them account wise.

However if you want to be sure on this then hopefully someone will be able to confirm this for you.

    Good luck Dave. ;)

I took out a £10,000 loan in June 2005 payable over five years with RBS trading as MINT. There was a £2,319.72 charge for loan protection which after reading on this site does seem rather a lot. Once interest is added on it totals £14,981.40. I'm still paying and the paperwork states that even if I wanted to pay the loan off after three quarters of the term (which isn't far off now) then I would still have to pay £3,401.25. Is there anything that I can do? Am I entitled to anything back. I would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks.
How do you know that once the interest is added to the PPI that it totals £14981.40??

Was it on a seperate agreement??

If the card is with the halifax then you should get it all from the same SAR. A SAR is about a "subject" and not a loan or credit card.

    Good luck

Oops sorry Marshallka you had beaten me to it lol.......:o ;) .

If 3/4 of the loan PPI is £3401.25 I cannot work out how you get the £14981.40 as the total.. .

It seems fair to me is they are charging you this £15K and then if you are 3/4 of the way through the loan they charge you only £3400. You are getting quite a rebate then...

Are you saying this was missold to you..

It really is quite fair from a total of £15K..

My total was £9K including interest and i got £94 back..after 3/5ths of the way through

Yeah Di. subject access is per the person and not about the loan or whatever other finance they have with the firm.

Thanks hun so in that case that one company should provide absolutely everything they have on you Dave.;)
    Only one SAR letter required.;)

If a SAR is about two people or anything within the company is "joint" then both "Subjects" have to sign for the SAR otherwise anything pertaining to the other person is ommited.
