But what is going on in here?! From what I saw, no one on here should have fell out with anyone. I felt Marshallka going is a big loss to the forum as she's clearly got a lot of knowledge and I don't think there's any negative sentiment on here at all towards her. There were clearly some things going on which I knew nothing of - even as a daily reader of the forum - however, if Marshallka felt as if she didn't get enough support on here, I'm sorry, but that's really not how I saw it. She clearly wanted more people to respond to CC in the tone she had taken, but that's not the way of a lot of people. I thought CC started off as coming across as quite rude (apologies!) but then gave some really useful advice which helped some people out. At that point, it all should have been forgotten with, but it wasn't. I take the attitude, you have your argument, you say what you need to say, and then you move on and forget about it. If Marshallka felt she couldn't do that, then I'm sorry she felt she had to leave as I always looked forward to her posts, and I always welcomed and learned from her advice.
I was one of those people who has been quite clear of their support of Marshallka on here, however, and I would hate to think she's cutting off her nose (or the nose of fellow reclaimers) purely because she didn't feel as if she had enough support. I certainly came on here and largely ignored any tensions between Marshallka and CC in an effort to try and see these issues fall down the forum list so that we could all move on. If that was deemed to be a lack of support then it certainly wasn't as I even PMed her to ask her to stay on here and ignore whatever she felt about CC to continue to help reclaimers. Something thereafter appears to have happened and what was nothing more than a disagreement seems to have just went downhill from thereon. What a shame that Marshallka feels so hurt by people who broadly supported her. I'm personally disappointed in that as it ultimately weakens what we're all here to do - help each other get their money back!
Now, BigDog, tell us all more about what you know!
Edit - Pinknico! Well done! You even scared them into submission!
And please let my comments fall down the list in case they make this appear a scarey place for newcomers to be!

Not yet. Egg said they would consider my case if I could send them some details of my medical situation and why I felt I'd been mis-sold as I'd been suffering from the same illness at the time the PPI cover was taken out. My GP provided a letter for them which said on it, "BB suffered from this in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005" so it's quite explicit that in 2001, I had a pre-existing medical condition cerified by my GP which would have prevented me from claiming for that condition.
Hopefully they'll look at that and see that something along the line has gone wrong somwhere and refund me. All that's happened is that they are now £17.50 in further debt as the GP's letter cost me that much and I intend reclaiming that in the courts too if need be
They've been quite quick responding to me so far, but they are so awkward I cansee them contacting me after all of this and saying, "Tough, you're still not getting your money back" such has been their attitude so far.
Make no mistake though, I'm happy to go to court with this if need be. They are already in bother with the FSA over actions they have taken when selling PPI cover, and I'm happy to take this to court (which I've done with a different lender before).Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

Hi Bathgatebuyer,
Yes I totally agree with you.;)
And we are still here for Marshallka now as always.:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
A word of caution....
Hi Guys,
Just a quick note, and you can all tell me to go away if you think I'm imposing. I reclaim ppi for a living, and I think it's great that some people have got the bottle to take on the banks themselves and I wish you all the best, however, there's one thing i see that a lot of lay people do concerning loans and ppi. I've got the greatest respect for Martyn and the site, however, if you've got a loan that has ppi added, and it's signed pre 6th of April, 2007, don't go for the template letter, go and speak to a solicitor. There is a good chance that if the ppi has been mis-sold, the whole loan might be unenforceable in law and by only reclaiming the ppi, you're shooting yourself in the foot.
What you're looking for is a ppi premium of around £2k plus and the whole loan could disappear.
Theres plenty of solicitors who will work on a contingency fee basis, which used to known as 'No Win No Fee' - just make sure the solicitor has legal liability insurance.
Best of luck in reclaiming,
The Big Dog.0
