PPI Reclaiming discussion Part III

  • Has anyone else come across this?

I've had a letter from Lloyds TSB telling me that they are prepared to refund all my payments +8% interest. 'Great' I thought, then I read further and it seems they are paying the money into the credit card associated with the PPI.

However, I no-longer have this credit card and it's being paid off under a management plan so I can't access the money I've claimed back.

I rang 'em and they refused to budge (I wanted either a cheque or paid into my bank account), is there anything I can do?

All help greatly appreciated as we're going through a very thin patch at the moment.

They all talk crap to get you to buy:eek: . I think it may well be the lender that pays out as the loan is through them even though you used a broker:confused:

I was also informed by the broker when I complained that they don't offer advice, I have calls which clearly state he advises us to take out ppi:mad: and also nearly says recommends but does not get the whole word out but you can see in the transcripts and hear in the call what the word was.

    Its really annoying

    They stick together !
Dreamer, have you the "keyfacts" for yours here from your lender/broker ?

    Yes exactly.;)

Dreamer, I do wonder now if this can be a separate complaint ?
    What do you think ?
    Maybe Incipience could confirm this.

But in my opinion we gave them a sale - where they made plenty of dough on us, okay we know they get paid, but we did not know all did we ?;)

I'm thinking of trying it even though peter has it, what do you think:confused:

If I get no-where then I can go to FOS about FP. I will mention about the things incipience states, I think its an excellent idea after all my agreement was with FP not FF and I do believe FF got the info from FP. This is the connection

    Hi Harry.

I would request this in writing, tell them as they have now agreed to refund you, you are requesting they pay this directly to you.

Have they agreed to mis selling ?

Have you checked the success thread next to this one ?

Great news they have agreed to refund you though. I am having a right tough time with these right now, Credit card ppi that is with the FOS, I settled the Credit card balance in 2004 and never activated one since although I did write to them to tell them to cancel the whole lot being sent out to me, I tear the new cards to pieces to ensure I will not activate the account.

I would check what others say about this that maybe in the same situation as you due to your issues, but if you tell them in writing, they may reconsider this.......

Good news overall though, well done.:T

  • Evening all, i hope ur all ok, i have been very busy so not been on for awhile, just been reading back about 50 pages lol to catch up with u all. Ur all been very busy i see with one thing or another, just to keep you up to date, i recieved second letters back from sky, cap one and barclays refusing that they mis sold me the ppi even though i was a self employed childminder. And they are refusing to give back my credit card charges, cap one and sky offering me a meesly £25 each and barclays saying they reduced there charges to £12 so wont be offering me nothing and all are saying its there final response.... So i have sent off for SARs from them all, is there anything else i should be doing or do i just wait now? Thanks again to all you lovely people, who obviously are not appreciated by all. lol sarah. xxxxx;)

If you are in arrears with the credit card then I think they can pay it off the debt still owing.

I can't see no harm done here dreamer, maybe contacting the help desk at the FOS can confirm where you stand with this with what Incipience said.;)
