We rang them they said they had written to them and we would hear in 2wks.Is this 2 see if norton accept what the fos say.

It sounds like it, I would not worry about this, I think if FOS did not think you had a case don't think they would have taken it on.

They may also be asking Norton for other infomation with regards to your PPI claim, the burden of proof lies now with Norton to prove otherwise.

What evidence did you send to FOS.

    Hi there.

So what the FOS are saying then they should hear from Norton in the next 2 weeks?

How long has this case been with the FOS PiP?

The first stages is that they go through your details, they then write to the other party to request all the information from them, then investigate by looking at 2 sides, if the FOS feel you have a case they will ask the other party to uphold your complaint, if the other party (Norton) agree the FOS will let you know, if they don't the adjudicator will normally raise further issues with the other party, if the company still do not uphold, its then normally passed on to the actual ombudsman himself to investigate.

I hope you hear with good news then hun, its defo moving on for you, good luck and please keep us posted, if you require any more info just yell anytime.;)

Its at the final stages we ve had it in a year.We spoke to the adjudcator in december and he was waiting for norton 2 write back a responce to the things he had found that was wrong. He said it would take a miracle 4 the claim not 2 be upheld in our favour and it should be done and dusted by the end of Jan.Then we rang 2day and they said they d wrote 2 norton with there recomdenations about the case.

If its at its final stages then is sounds like they are telling Norton what FOS think they should do, if Norton don't agree it may well be upheld by the adjudicator, not too sure though but it certainly sound that way.

I think this is all in your favour here. The hardest is the time you have to wait for answers. I hope you win. Let us know the outcome.

They asked us if we had our own mppi scheme,we did never thought about it when we was bulldozed into taking the ppi with 1st plus asked us to prove it..Did we have a history with taking loans out and settling early which we did and the loans were all arranged through norton. And asked us to send the policy documents, we only ever got a schedule document which was 4 pages long.So he asked norton to send the policy document they sent the 1st 2 pages of the schedule document not all 4,He said if they can't send me the right documents he believes we did nt receive them.

Did you get the loan through firstplus and Norton were the broker? When you say mppi is this mortgage ppi?

    Hi Pip

This was similar with mine, when I thought "this is it", the FOS would get back to me and say they were just waiting for some confirmation from the other party which they had given them a timescale to get back to them, that one is done and dusted now and paid out after 14 months from start to paying out.;)

I really don't think you will be waiting too long now.;)

Yep it was arranged through Norton and the robbin b*****ds that ll be 1st plus gave us the loan. The mppi was a insurance taken out on yr wages so if you came out of work you got £1500 income for 2 yrs. That only costs 50 a mth. After this i m off for the rebate back.Had the loan 5mths the ppi was 15000 and the charged me 10000 to settle.Thats my next step i ll enjoy that its barclays insurance who ll get that little gem.
