  • Hi all
Just joined today but have been reading this thread with interest for a couple of months!! Sent letter #1 to Northern crock a couple of weeks ago and requested copies of my agreement etc. all I got was the form they send out. I phoned them up and got some details for the form and have posted it back, so I await their response:rolleyes:

i was just wondering if it's worth contacting Egg as well?? I cancelled the payment protection thing (or whatever they call it) before Christmas, got £8k on the card and it was an extra £70+ per month going on to the balance!!!! Is it worth sending the letter in to them to try and reclaim as I've had a similar balance on that card on and off for 6 ish years? I can't remember what process of application I went thru tho?? Will that go against me??

It is worth sending an SAR request, it should show you how you got the card and the ppi

  • Hi there, this is my very first post so I would appreiciate any replies.

I took out a Firstplus loan in 03/06 which included a PPI. In May 07 I wanted to pay back the loan early, when I had the final settlement through I realised that I had signed up for this dreadful insurance, and that the whole ammout was added to the loan. After several discussions with Firstplus they advised us to keep some of the loan outstanding as we could claim back the total PPI in 6 years if we hadnt made a claim. We went on to so this.

What I would like to know is.... has anyone had the same issue and managed to reclaimed the PPI back. I see it as, i've already paid back the loan, and now only paying back the PPI, which will be all mine in 3 years time anyway, so I would like to end this now and take it down the miss selling route.

Any tips or suggestion's woud be HUGELY appreciated.

    Many thanks

I am reclaiming Payment Protection Insurance complaint on behalf of someone else.

The insured person has severe memory loss caused by alcohol.

It seemed when reading the terms and condition that each head of claim was excluded if as a result of alcohol abuse, and I can see why.

Therefore, I am claiming that it was missold.

The provider has asked me to supply:-

details of my discussion with the seller ,
confirmation of whether I received the policy document
details of why I decided to purchase the policy.

Good questions, but given that I am acting on behalf of some one else, who has severe memory problems, I cannot answer them.

Is there any chance of succeeding and if so how should I proceed next?

hi we are in the process of ppi mis selling with first plus go for mis selling if you can, it is better in your pocket than theirs my loan has 17 years to go and we had 50% ppi given back as we cancelled it i still have to pay 111 pounds a month for the remainder of the term for ppi they kept, they will have had 26,000 back for a product we have not got so i got in touch with fsa and am going for mis selling . please dont let this drop first plus are highway men without the mask they dont even pass on extra interest rate cuts to customers.
