    Huh

I never done anything wrong, I never left my vehicle, I was waiting to go into a space that had just been created.

Anyway, I'd never thought about contacting my local councillor, great idea by Ham ;)
basically, I was double parked awaiting someone to pull out
It wasn't probably solely the fact that you were double parked, it was the attitude you gave to the ticket issuer. If you'd explained nicely, or just moved you'd not have the issue. Blaming someone else who'd been there longer than you, asking for a supervisor and refusing to move can't have helped...

Nothing justifies parking on double yellows. If you were waiting for a space, drive on, and find the next sensible place to turn around and hope the space is there when you come back.

He knew I was waiting for a vehicle to pull out so that I could go into that spot.

I was not "Double Parked" and left my vehicle, unlike what tinker above seems to think

how do you purport to know what i was thinking?

i never thought you'd left your car, but being in a stationary car whilst double parked is an obstruction! that's why it's not allowed!

there was a car pulling out and the op was waiting to go into it. The engine was running, cant see how that is double parking. If the OP was out of the car then that would be different.

Write to the police and your local councillor, dont be bullied. dig your heels in.

    Good luck to you.

the vehicle in front of me should have had a ticket first,

If you hadn`t argued and moved up he might have got one :)

What do you expect from taking up the councillor's valuable time.

You committed an offence, and wish to complain about the officer's attitude (which is your right). You have been told officially the correct avenue to go down - why come here asking the road you know?

When you say "the other car was doing it too", you remind me of school days - "it wasn't just me sir" - What difference does that make to your guilt?

Just accept you were in the wrong and be thankful all you got was a ticket instead of the threatened summons. Alternatively, exercise your rights and take the matter to a court hearing.

See, that's what I love about this forum, there's always someone willing to support / advise other members when required, unlike those willing to have a stupid dig when it's not required, I guess they've nothing else better to do than troll around the foums.

    Once again, thanks Ham ;)

Other peoples advice has been valid, its just not what you wanted to hear

    Thank you annie ;)

I'm going to take your sound advice, I'm not going to be bullied by some jumped up PCSO, the £30.00 ticket is neither here nor there, it's to do with being treated fairly, and I don't believe I was.

It's to be hoped some on this forum never get called for dury service
