    Call it 4p a kwh? 7 or 8 units a day, 82kwh x 4p = £3.28 a day - approx.

Meter units are kwh, so you just multiply by the kwh price.

We got our gas bill today (British gas) Used 425 units and 4751 KWH over 92 days. That seems like an awful lot?? We are now £73 more in debit than last quarter :( I have never had a £193 gas bill in my life!

All we use are radiators and cooker. Have about 5 on for about 5 hours in the evening and about 2 hours in the morning.

Mine was £199 for gas last year for the Feb bill. I`ve never had a bill that high but I know it will be more this year because the prices are more. Oh well. Roll on summerish;)

Does sound a lot but it depends on what region you are in and also what tariff you are on.

I`m on a price protection tariff and I`m paying 3.63 and 2.45 for gas.

I have a question, turning off radiator thermostats in unused rooms, does this help save money on Central heating costs?

my last week usage was :-

    GAS £26.74
    ELECTRIC £6.12

My concern is gas as I use 23,000 kwh per year which equates to around £900. Which is an awful lot considering we only 2 adult and 1 child. And we out all day only use evening and weekend. We have 4 bedroom house?

I find when the boiler is on (18 yrs old boiler), the meter turns very fas compare to normal inset heater in the lounge. I wonder if combi boiler even at £1000 cost would make savings?

    Any advice appreciated?
