    Nope, gas heating, water and hob.

    How much do your bills work out for your low consumption.
    Mine is very similar and I'm paying £20 a month.

    Over the past year it averages out at £28 per month (though foolishly I've never switched).

    average for this last month;-

    27.080kwh gas per day, suspect about £1.10/day (two tier rate). £33/m

    8.77kwh elec per day, suspect about £1.30/day (again two tir rate). £39/m

    but still the stat is rarely above 15deg,

    not a million miles away from my dd,s of £31 elec, £36 gas. not too bad considering dd,s not changed since starting with atlantic over a year ago.

    Gas £3.89

  • For 4 people in a 4 bed semi:

    Last week you spent:
    • £13.16 on gas
    • £8.52 on electricity
    Electricity has come down from averaging around 13 to just 10 - really tried not to use the tumble drier and putting them outside and then draping over radiators for 15 minutes or so.

    Gas= cold OH!!!
  • I do think that having my wife and two littluns at home during the day, and then 5 of us evenings and weekends affects our use substantially. There is no way I would want them to be cold (and my wife really feels the cold), so when its as cold as now we tend to run the heating at 23 - 24 degrees during the day and maybe 21 -22 at night. It's a four bed semi with a Bosch Greenstar Junior 28i combi for heating and hot water. We've 12 radiators, most of which have thermostats.

    We use about 700 kwh of gas per week and 125 kwh of electricity at the moment. Imeasure say that last week we spent £24.82 on gas and £15.36 on electricity using their rates for calculation.

    Because we are with npower and their price sculpting, the savings to be gained by cutting usage at this time of year are not proportional. We're using about 3033 kwh of gas per month which would cost £109.70. If we cut our use by 50% say to 1517 that would still cost £77.20, which is a saving of less than 30%. And to make that kind of reduction in use would be extremely challenging and painful. I think that the npower price sculpting suits high gas consumers like us as the non-primary rate is cheap and we use a lot of it which reduces our average rate quite dramatically.
