Dont want to seem greedy but the main Dell website shows various offers for the 2400 incllding a free accessory (webcam or printer). Is there a way of getting that on top, at this low price ?0

The Choice of Free Gift (Dell 720 Colour Printer or QuickCam Webcam) appears on Home and Home Office, where this particular deal does not apply.0 -
Good point. Other cashback sites give a similar amount, although Internet Buyer (http://www.internet-buyer.co.uk/directory.asp?type=computing) offers a vague "Up to 2.5% Cashback". Has anyone bought something off Dell via Internet Buyer, and did they get 2.5% or 1.5%?and don't forget rpoints et al for 1.5% cashback

Yes it does, but on Home/Home Office the prices shown INCLUDE VAT, on all the business pages are PLUS VAT, but the end result is the same. How do I add a signature?0 -
That's right, iain (as I said in my posting on Dec 9!) but be aware that Dell should be cutting the prices of their home computers in the UK market, because according to CNETCurrently you can spec this machine up on Dell website for £155.16 inc vat and delivery!
"Dell on Monday said it had cut prices by as much as fifth for a range of products aimed at U.S. corporate customers, as the computer maker passed along savings from cheaper components.
The Round Rock, Texas-based company, the world's largest maker of personal computers, said it was reducing prices on servers, workstations, desktop and notebook PCs, and flat-panel displays.
The price reductions reflect lower prices for components such as memory chips, hard drives and microprocessors, a Dell spokesman said."0 -
Great, we can all get cheap computers for a change.

I bought a Radeon 9200SE for the Dell 2400 to fit into the PCI slot. With that card in i have managed to play Pro Evo Soccer 4, and Full Spectrum Warrior. Im not saying the card is even comparable with todays best AGP and PCI-Express cards but it should be more than adequate for Football Manager 2005.0

The usual Dell marketing hype. Any reductions if they appear will be on their normal, completely uncompetitive, prices. The sort of deals discussed in these Forums are worth considering, but Dell are unlikely to reduce these prices by much."Dell on Monday said it had cut prices by as much as fifth for a range of products aimed at U.S. corporate customers, as the computer maker passed along savings from cheaper components ... it was reducing prices on servers, workstations, desktop and notebook PCs, and flat-panel displays. The price reductions reflect lower prices for components such as memory chips, hard drives and microprocessors."0
