No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Just to let everyone know, i received a pdf detailing my Dimension 2400 system order at £163.33
    I ordered Tuesday afternoon.

The £175 system wasnt available on the system at the time i ordered....seems i got the bum deal.
Anyway of altering my order to include the hard drive upgrade at this moment in time?
  • I actually order 2 different dimension 2400 pc through this thread. the first one i order was without monitor and it came around £160, then somebody mentioned the one where free upgrade to hdd and monitor, so ordered that as well. didn't note the IR numbers but todays I received a  pdf confirmation for the one with monitor ;D ;D ( total cost £175 including vat and shipping. still haven't received the confirmation for the one without monitor and even if i get one i might cancel it as the both were almost same spec but this one with 160gb hdd and free monitor. so fingers cross

    :o :-/ are you sure?

...cos I just ordered D1242! Dell emailed me to say I couldnt change specs, just cancel and re-order.

I went via the link posted by the chef (?) on page 1 of this thread.

    hth!

Yup, the d1221h (with upgrade to 160gig HD, £30.00 off and free upgrade to 19" monitor (but with £70 off for downgrading back to 17" CRT monitor ) is no more :'( I can buy the same model with 19" CRT for £219.00+VAT (or downgrade to 17" CRT for the same price) but as I've already got a 17" TFT I don't need another monitor anyway and I'm not going to buy one just to put it on ebay, because they are selling for peanuts now.

Good luck to all of you that managed to get one :) (or more)
How do I add a signature?

No, they don't allow you to amend the order - you'll have to cancel and reorder at whatever price it is now!

If you care to click the 'contact' button at the bottom of dells webpage, it lists 20 odd telephone numbers for differing parts of the organisation, so please do not add Ummm as though i am some idiot.

Actually, it was 'Ummmm', as in I can't remember, but that number was on the website, so it's probably the one I dialled, but I can't be sure.

It seems I can be offensive and sarcastic without even trying these days. ;D ;D ;D
