  • I have recently brought some dulux wood and metal paint retailing at 8.99 from the 99p shop. It is so good I went back and brought a few more. I have also brought a discontinued line only available in America- Citre Shine hair products which I love. Pound shop and 99p are amazing. Of course there is a lot of trash amongst the treasures but if you know what your looking for your sure to save yourself a lot of money

    Broadband ADSL filters
    Bottle gift bags x4
    Swing bin liners (flavoured!) x40
    USB cable (e.g. printer)
RJ45 / Ethernet cable (PC to router)

all @ Poundland - wonderful shop!
  • Recently bought a second hand JVC Camcorder, and was looking for prices on tapes for it.
Was in Inverness, on holiday recently, and saw the tapes I needed, in a well known National Branded camera shop, 5 x £19.99. Happened to go into the nearby Poundland Store and the very same tapes were, obviously a £1, also had a Head Cleaning tape.
Stopped off at Fort William on the way home, and a camera shop there, was selling the same JVC Tape for £4.99.each.
Stock up everytime I'm in Poundland, used them, excellent quality, no problems.

For all those who live in places too posh for pound shops (lucky you!) I encourage you to come to Lewisham, which is constructed almost entirely out of such places :rotfl:
  • Had RoC Mens Code face cream (holiday skin variety) - normally retails for 7.99 a go; also had Sanex moisturisers - again retails around £4.00.

This type of stuff is usually in short supply - but here in Hull, there isn;t massive demand for manscaping products, so I usually get what I need.
  • They may not be particularly cheap at £1 but this is the only place I've found which now stocks Raspberry Ruffles - takes me all the way back to my childhood - yummy! :j
  • I love £land, 99p shop and home bargains!
my boyf loves the cheap beer you get in HB, and i love the wine! got a bottle of the wolfblass chardonnay for £3.49 when it's about £8.99 in our local morrisons - BARGAIN!!!! it's well worth stocking up for xmas.
i've got sore biceps from carrying so many bags the other day :( but it's well worth it, when you look at the bargians i picked up :D
went to the 99p shop and stocked up on rimmel stuff - and waiting to hear if my mom wants some getting too!

it seems stupid to be embarrassed about saving yourself a bit of cash, especially in the run up to xmas - why spend extra money when you don't have to??!

About 6 months ago, our Poundland had a job lot of lego sets delivered - which each would cost £5.99 in the shops but had long been discontinued. These were the Explorers sets, each one now for £1. I managed to buy 114 sets and there were many more left - great for party bags, but even better for me as I sold them for £8 each in my lego internet shop (not eBay). What made me laugh was when the cashier would say - "That's 34 items is that right?" - I just said I had no idea but I couldn't carry any more. She wasn't impressed.

You also find the little £2.99 car sets and Clickits there. Worth a look.
