Just bought a big window mosaic style xmas decoration and a pack of 2 stick on led lights, I've stuck them under the cupboards to give a nice glow over the breakfast bar, you have to buy the batteries seperate, also got a big pack of wagon wheels,0

I wouldn't dream of buying my jiffy bags, shower/bath products/dishwasher tablets or washing up liquid (in double packs and you can water it down by half - just as good) anywhere else now!0

My mother purchases the twin pack of cappacino (can't spell) sachets. She uses these at work as saves money on milk. Plus as with most workplaces that the staff do their own hot drinks, people forget to bring milk in when it's their turn on the rota, other people nick the milk etc. She gets either 20 or 24 sachets for a £."The reason we're successful, darling? My overall charisma, of course." -- Freddie Mercury

99p stores had packs of Huggies Pull-ups (the regular sized packets). Seemed like a bargain to me.0

Sometimes I have popped in and got shampoo and conditioner usually costing about £10 each, last time I got some Citre Shine which are about £4 each in Boots! I also bought a hair braider which are usually £10 ish, they're not that great but the power of advertising means most little girls want one, and ofcourse Nescafe which is always a good baragin.0

Boo, I live in SW London, it's too posh for pound shops, I have never even seen one anywhere near my house. If anyone knows of any in London, locations would be much appreciated.0

ooo there is a pound shop about 30 miles away from me, me and my mum love going there!!
It was lucky that we went before we went on holiday in september, they sell the compeed glue (medical glue) for £1! It is in Superdrug for £7.99
My OH had a little accident and walked into some barbed wire and cut just under his eye and across his forehead, he was lucky not to have his eye out but my mum fixed him straight away with this glue and he has only a slight scar. He was a right mess! So this stuff is brilliant!!

I bought a laser level from Poundland, but it did not project a level line.
I returned it and was given another one, but that had the same flaw.
Other than that, pound shops are great!0 -

Come visit SE London! we are overloaded with them! if a store closes, within weeks its either replaced by a mobile ohone/internet cafe, or a pound store.
Lewisham, Woolwich and Peckham are hotspots, there are likely more elsewhere but I tend to either shop locally or just vanish up to Oxford Street /Portabello Road for a breath of fresh air!0
