If you're into craft supplies then the website http://www.craftpoundshop.com
is worth a look.
Everything there is £1. Best value are pretty printed paper packs with 50 sheets that are normally £3.99.0 -
We have a poundland in Burton on Trent.
I bought a cassette for my car which plugs into my ipod and plays through the car speakers - I love it! And much cheaper than getting your car 'mp3'd' at Halfords. I also bought a car ice scraper glove which is all fluffy and warm insde, in fact I used it this morning so has come in useful already.0 -
Best thing i got from a poundshop was a set of garden party lights. Basically a string of led lights on a wire that attached to a solar panel the size of an envelope, and they turn on automatically at dusk. They were old tesco branded stuff and i guess as summer was over and no BBQ parties that these weren't selling. But i thought they would be great as some lights to decorate an outside christmas tree, and solar powered you're being green too!!People who live beyond their means should act their wage.0

I love the 'Stitch' brand of copy-cat fragrances. Always buy my nephews the 2pc sets for xmas (1 aerosol, 1 glass bottle).
I adore the Farehn***eit copy. I spray it on my bedding every morning & it smells just as strong when i climb in bed at night. I swear it's the real thing!0 -
Just been on a hunt for a halloween costume, saw a big sign saying 'BARGAIN HALLOWEEN ITEMS' so thought i'd have a look in.
They sold just about everything you needed, but i didn't want to get the actual costume (a witch dress in my case) as it was probably bad quality. Bought the hat, a light up broom, tights, and some decorations. Good buys!
CHEAP AND CHEERFUL HALLOWEEN-ER :jIf you like what you see, please thank me0 -
I recently bought Gourmet cat food (5 tins for £1), some great books (including hardbacks) and some photo paper, which came in lots of different sizes. Look forward to reading this thread for other ideas! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

For the last couple of years have bought veg and flower seeds at poundland. you get 6 different varieties in 1 packet. Had some good produce from them. other garden stuff good too like bbq cover.
When Hubby comes he wants to buy the shop so i limit him to £5. He's a teacher and bought enough maths sets for his classes as he said they're better than the ones he have at his school.0 -
I think poundland is brill I bought Tumble Dryer Balls a set of 2 for obvioulsy a pound and they are £9.99 in the big shops such as Asda and Wilkinsons made by JML but just the same as cheaper alternative. About 12 months ago I bought a basic grater that has coarse and fine on it and it is still as good as the day I bought it no rust or anything it goes in the dishwasher too no problem. Rubble sacks are another thing between two and three pound everywhere else for the same thing. Christmas Decorations are really good the list is endless on things you can save money on by buying there. I go in about once a week just to see if they have any good deals. Kids stuff for school and colouring in etc is good too. I can afford to pay more but why should I look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves.0
