Umbrella - if it's pouring down, buy one and it will see you home - once.
  • We always get shower gels - usually those mint source ones and all hair products, shampoos, hairspray, gel etc, toothpaste, those spare heads for the kids battery toothbrushes - 2 in a pack!! All from our 99p store. Once we even got 6 tins of Homepride spag bol sauce for 99p and it wasnt even that short a date on it. Sadly once we had tried it and realised we loved it they had sold out. Thats the only downside. If you see something really great buy loads as it may not be there next week!!
  • The Kaiser Chiefs Employment book, a Happy feet book, a mini poker game, a very heavy duty sellotepe dispenser, loads of stocking filler bits including Walle and Princess bubble bath and some really really nice halloween bits.

I got that as part of my sisters birthday present, great find, as she (and I) love(s) the Kaiser Chiefs. :T
  • Can I also put in a word of praise for Poundland cutlery! Not the multi setting packs with plastic handles, rather the individual packs of either teaspoons, dessert-spoons, knives or forks. It's really quite good quality stainless steel and perfect for every day use. I don't know how they do it for the price!

  • Rimmel lipglosses/eyeshadows in ours yesterday.

But be very, very careful of the edibles...last Halloween DD2 gave DD1 a sweet shaped like a pumpkin bought in a multibag from there...in 20 mins her face had swollen up and she was gasping for breath with a massive asthma attack. The Scottish importers promised to find out from the Chinese manufacturers what was in them - but, of course, they never got back to us.

The Immunology clinic she was referred to said 'never buy cheap sweets or let her little sister kiss her after eating them - loads of people come here after having these products'
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • It was an independent pound shop and I got Urban Decan lipgloss, worth about £15. I got two, you can always find a surprise. It doesn't really save you money as you can't shop with a list but at that price, you can't complain
  • just been in 2 £ shops today, bought 8 padded envelopes, pk 2 parcel tape, and a russian type fleece hat for work total £3
I the other I bought a large Zoflora, and took 2 oust air sprays to till, as it said 2 for £1, but they scanned at a £1 each, couldn't be bothered to argue so just bought 1.
In the next town there is a £land, home and bargain, wilkinsons and another £ shop, might take a trip in a couple of weeks.
  • My local poundworld sells Astonish cleaning products all at 1.00 each big bottles too. I find the mould and mildew remover great especially on tile grout and the tile and glass cleaner is great on windows.
