Sybil - I forgot to add that like other posters, my DS2 cannot now be shut up! After 18yrs of constant chatter the house was strangely quiet when he left home! :rotfl:0

Afternoon everyone!
Haven't posted for ages, no time & poorly pc again.
October GC challenge rubbish again, spent far too much this morning when I went to town with teenage DS & nearly too tired to type straight! ... but this weekend we made a massive start on dejunking the house, so it can't be all bad! My 2nd green bin is more than half full with papers, mads, etc, & I have a huge pile of stuff to burn or shred later.
We had M&S dinner yesterday, leftover chicken into stir fry tonight, wine still unopened:beer: & a load of bendy & tinned fruit for pud.
Hope your afternoons are lovely - it's beautifully sunny, if cold, here & think the heating will be on a little higher tonight & bottle in bed!
See you all later.

Afternoon all
I'm back from the roofing suppliers & did a detour via a couple of charity shops, got 4 Michael Connolly books for hubby & a small amount of wool for me.
Hugs to Sybil, nothing better than a supportive Dr is there, lol & yours sounds carp, I know it's worrying especially when little bear is (I assume) your 1st.
I tied my self in knots over my 1st, he was prem, I had placenta previa, MIL said it was my fault!!! By the time I got to number 4 if any health professional queried anything my answer was 'And how many children do you have?' Chin up chuck & keep telling yourself you are a great person/wife/mum, which I'm sure you are.

Good Afternoon Everyone.
Just make the odd post here so hope you don't mind me dropping in today. It is a lovely Autumnal Day here in West Yorkshire but very cold. The washing is outside but not sure if will dry much the sun has now moved off the garden. I've made some tomato and lentil soup for tea and trying out a new recipe for pudding (apple tart thing) Been to the farm shop this morning to stock up as there is a chance it will snow and don't fancy making the short, but very steep, drive up the road if there is ice/snow later.
Hugs to everyone who needs one. Off to put my bodywarmer on now, it's getting a bit chilly, we have no heating on yet. DS actually put on shorts and Tshirt this morning!MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

Thank you for all the support. I am not coping very well with it, but you have all really helped today. I really appreciate what everyone is saying. It is my first, looks like it will be my only (I am quite elderly to be having babies) and I just love him so much. I think he is lovely, smiles at people, will go to other people for cuddles (always has, though mum's cuddles are still best) and is lovely and calm and placid. We took him out yesterday and he was immaculately behaved, giggled and shrieked happily at all dogs and birds he saw, fell asleep for at least five minutes and was just a darling.
Third lot of washing in. I have decided to risk ironing, because my mind may chase itself but at least that will be a big job done, and the thing about ironing is you can always see the result!
I hate depression - hate it with a passion. It is such a thief of life.
One mantra that I am going to be repeating to myself is 'at least a tree hasn't fallen on my house' as really things could be worse.
Also, evil cat has a very rumbly tummy and I think that I may have to get her checked with the vets. She is fourteen, though she does not realise, and has been eating lots of grass etc. She is also being a bit more clingy than normal. I suspect that what will happen is that we will be scratched as if we have fallen into a bramble bush to get her into the cat basket, roundly sworn at all the way to the vets, she will be a monster for the vet who will take twenty minutes to catch her and even then she will refuse to co-operate, use the cat box as a litter tray on the way home and actually she will be fine. That was what happened last time. Except this time we will be taking little bear with us who will find the whole thing hilarious.
Really appreciate being able to post on here.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Afternoon all,
We are having bacon and chicken with sweetcorn and cabbage for dinner...think that there is enough of yesterday's chocolate cake for pudding, otherwise it can be baked apple and ice-cream.
Made a small start on clearing my floordrobe this morning (very apt in my case!) I have a problem sorting out how there is so much in the house when I have stopped buying clothes and have got rid of three or four bags from my room alone over the past few weeks, they can't be breeding can they??
Bank holiday here to-day, so nothing much being done.
Hugs to all in need or want, welcome to newbies and congratulations to all who are celebrating, thank you all for being my friends

Taplady - did I read the earth moved for you at your DH's workplace;)
you could say that!
Sybil - my DS2 didn't talk till he was 4 due to a language disorder picked up when he was about 2 and a half but he's now a strapping 16 year old with a brilliant vocabulary so try not to worry too much, sometimes they just need a bit more time.(((hugs)))Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Ooh I'm late on here today-that's holidays for you.
been busy though -made 4 loaves, a batch of choc chip muffins (which I am not going to eat), chicken stock from yesterday's roast, done (some of) the ironing, hoovered, done the laundry and dried it on the line, been into town and bought dd new trousers, topped up my phone (£5 lasts me about 6 months;) ), paid off my debt to our joint account (been buying books again, that's what the child benefit is for right?) and bought enough wine to last till Thursday -every night's a wine night when OH is on holiday:beer:
Breakfast was -dunno as I was in bed (with OH:D) and the kids had to forage for themselves -think they had toast.
Lunch was crackers, bread, cheese, ham, hummus, carrot sticks etc
Supper will be chicken risotto using leftover roast chicken and peas and the stock I've made plus salad. Yogurt and/or fruit for pud.
Sybil, all the health care professionals thought there was something up with my ds1's language and communication. He was absolutely fine. Don't know if this has been said already but Einstein didn't start talking till he was over 2 apparentlyyou know your child best.

Afternoon all
I have celebrated a week off work with a migraine that has had me in bed all day - great. dd's hearing test went quite well - she has mild loss in one ear which is not getting any better but not getting any worse either - the other ear is fine. She will be referred to the hospital for her tonsils though as she has already missed 9 days off.
Sybil - my dbro was the same - not just with taking but with everything. Basically he didn't do any in-between bits - no babytalk or crawling - nothing for four years and then just walked and talked like a good'un. My mother had had german measles when pregnant so there was great concern but he's fine now.
Tea will be Freezer Roulette again and after that I will need to cycle up to mr T
have a good eveningI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
