Just popping in quickly to say hello and do a happy dance around the room - I managed to wake up at 5am and get my essay done
I finished printing it out at 8.54 so DD was a little bit late for school as they go in at 8.55
Thankfully we only live 2 mins brisk walk from the school
Then at break time I stapled it all together and posted it :j:j

Orkneystar - I've used rum in my cake. I'm not that keen on brandy so I don't want to buy a bottle just for the cake so I got rum. I don't mind using up rum, no really, it's no problem......I soaked the dried fruit in it overnight (used Delia's recipe) and I'll feed it too. I just got it out of the oven (went in at 8 am) and if it tastes as good as it smells it should be lovely.
Valli - when my face hurts with sinus problems I often put some Vick along my cheekbones. Makes your eyes water (make sure you don't get it in your eyes!) but that seems to relieve the pressure, at least for a while.0 -

valli - have saved you choc bar, and can also offer banana, cherry and date loaf! What time can you get here, I'll meet the train! (Seriously, I hate sinus trouble, look after yourself, and I hope DS is truly contrite.)
orkneystar - well done on the list -what are you knitting? I'm making a pair of socks for my sister for C******** (can.t bring myself to type out the word, trying not to think about it at all, very bah humbug here!). I want to finish the toe shaping and graft the first one this afternoon.
toottifrootti - how's the bedroom going? Did you manage to get all the carpet bits done? This isn't a nag, I'm just very nosy!
Okay, I've been downtown with DS2, who has his new phone and is very happy, I've also had my haircut, so I'm happy, and DD is obviously feeling better today. I've had two cups of coffee, because I'm half asleep, and now really must get on with that bathroom!
Anyone any suggestions for dinner tonight? Can't think of anything...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Good afternoon everyone, been busy this morning with lots of different things and it's snowing here again.
Gonna have to go and get wee ones soon as our road is really bad and we might not get back up the lane. Hubby won't let me go without him as he thinks i can't drive in the snow.
Happy Birthday toochoosey.
Hope everyone feels better soon.
Right i better get sorted and most get food while i'm in the villiage incase we don't get out tomorrow.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

I got the recipe here (the celebrations forum) :
"There is a huge fanclub on the Old Style board for the Delia traditional recipe http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/t...e,1293,RC.html I made one for the first time this year and it smells beautiful"0
