    Afternoon all,

Well I did go to the gym with the intention of doing legs, bums and tums but the class was full, so had to do a boring workout on the treadmill and crosstrainer instead. Then, I called my nan to get her shopping list, and it was massive! Plus she eats lots of weird organic and specialist products so it took ages to write it all down, and even longer to do the shop in waitrose as I never usually go there and didn't know where anything was - took me about 1hour 30 mins to do it all. Got petrol after dropping the shopping round, and it's a lot cheaper down in Hampshire than it is here. Bought lunch at mr s whilst I was there and then pootled back home. Have eaten the chocolate tiffin bar that my Nan added to the list so I could have one, and will now make a cup of tea before heading to the doctor to pick up prescription. Then picking up OH before going to laura ashley to look at the wallpaper armed with a list of names this time.

Not much flying done today I'm afraid, but did clean the toilet yesterday, so one thing done at least.

See you all later, and hope all poorlies and injured or just down flyladies or men feel better soon.

    sexymouse xx

Just debating how long to leave the cakes in the oven for ? They have had 2 hours ' 150 C , I think it will be another 2 hours for a long slow bake. Christmas cakes take ages. Playing the hats on game - that means covering the top of cakes so they do not get to brown.

My cake (8" round tin) took 4 3/4 hours at 140C. That was greaseproof lined, brown paper tied round the outside and greaseproof paper over the top (with a hole cut in the middle like it said in Delia's recipe). It smells gorgeous. It's cool now, more rum fed into it and wrapped in greaseproof in a tin.

tuttifrutti - I'll pm you the recipe! And I'd definitely rest up - making lists, and researching things like curtain materials on the net count as flying too you know! As to the general chaos, just keep the picture of how it's going to look when finished. I also do the 'take one thing with me' bit, thereby reducing hotspots etc one item at a time every time I go past. Although sometimes it does mean just moving a hotspot to a new location, sigh.

menolly - sorry you're not feeling well. and hope you feel better soon.

hugs too for G&B, and mudbath

msd - the fleece sounds great. I did a workshop on knitting socks in the round in January, and have really enjoyed knitting them. It's just about the right size project when I'm busy. Meal wise, have decided on chicken casserole, not very inspired, but easy.

    Where's pigpen today?

:hello:hi sexymouse! Have fun at Laura Ashley! I was doodling around the website at the weekend, looking at the reduced stuff, very tempting!

Okay, the boys have gone to the cinema after all, despite being adamant yesterday that there was nothing on. At least they got a two for one Orange offer, and are paying for it themselves!

DD has been very, very miserable today. I think she feels a little bit better, does a little bit too much, then feels really awful again. Yesterday evening we had floods of tears after she stayed downstairs for about an hour too long, and this morning it was after she had a bath and felt exhausted afterwards. DS2 bought her Pretty Woman on DVD, so I tucked her up with that, and BF has come round to sit with her for a while, so hopefully she'll be cheered up.

Flying? Oh, yes, I did a bit! The bathroom to level 3, - pc desk will get done with the livingroom.

Right, off to cook casserole, then I'm going to do a bit of knitting.

ps Ooh, just noticed! Post 1000!!
