Good afternoon, just trying to warm up after a walk down towards the beach (not all the way down because it's down steps and Megan can't manage it plus I hate sand!) with the dogs and kids, DPs mood seems to have changed, earlier he was determined to go home, he's being a moody toad! DS1s in here with us, DS2s gone to play football (well he's probably stood at the side next to his ball watching the others play) dogs have collapsed in heaps.

g&b hope your meds work soon x

We've kind of decided on takeaway/eating out this evening, then I can have a bit more of a break from cooking, got enough left out of this months budget so may aswell. Back to being more OS next week I promised :D

julie_d I tried last year and it was a disaster! I would love a fool proof recipe......failing that I'll buy one at the school fayre again :o
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Hugs again diva - it probably is the shock coming out - you had a nasty fall so just be patient and take it easy. You can catch up on your surveys and your cheque book!!!! No excuses now!!!!!
The garden soundslike it will be good with your new wood bits. And thats brilliant news about your friend - I am sure your support really did help - positive thinking can do wonders - lets hope it continues for him.
    toots xx

Thank you so much honey, and yes, I can't wait to see the garden. Be another day or so before I can manage the stairs but I am thrilled that we finally got it all done.

And I am hoping my american friends health can stabilize some more too, thank you for your good wishes, I truly believe in positive thought and even distant healing.

Thank you for the gentle nag, my cheque book is staring at me right now. :rotfl: I AM doing all my surveys, though having extra time to mooch around this comm is distracting me somewhat.. always so many interesting threads to read....:rotfl: :rotfl:

All kiddies lifted and so many parents going in to lift there kids too. The only reason the school is open is the bus drivers said they would still drive. Our road was bad so FIL took us down in his jeep (really don't think our car would make it back up the lane). It's stopped snowing now and kids where out for a while having a snow ball fight.

Finally found out why DD's room is so cold, big hole in the cement near the door so now have it blocked up and the heater brought into her room, hopefully it should be an improvement.

julie_d i wouldn't have a clue how to even make a Christmas cake.
    Diva big hugs.
Menolly big hugs too it's awful when someone is already unwell and you know your coming down with it.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Just debating how long to leave the cakes in the oven for ? They have had 2 hours ' 150 C , I think it will be another 2 hours for a long slow bake. Christmas cakes take ages. Playing the hats on game - that means covering the top of cakes so they do not get to brown.
