Hi Chums,
Yippee I have just finished 'tweaking' my Uni essay and I can now relax until the end of January when the next one is due.I have been hard at it for the past couple of hours and I'm just going to have a small celebratory G&T as I can't have one tomorrow.I hope that we all get to have a chinwag and I am just going to dig out a saftey pin to put on my coat, although I do know what Caterina looks like. Forecast is rain, but we will be tucked up inside the pub so it doesn't matter.
See you all tomorrow
JackieO xx
P.S. My DD wasn't too hungover this morning as she had to go to work, I bet she didn't sell too many houses though0 -
I'll bring my camera
but obviously as I won't be there till a bit later it would be nice for somebody else to bring one too...
Expect me sometime between 1 and 1:30 - and I've met enough of you before to find youOperation Get in Shape

Wish I could be there to meet some of you! I've only met Bargain RZL and that was at the Proms. She's lovely!
I will wave to you though as I am travelling down from Notts tomorrow to the Taste of Christmas event with a friend.
Have fun and don't forget we want piccies!

I'm so sorry to have missed it, I was planning to come along but felt out of sorts when out last night. I called it an early night ... and woke up at 3pm this afternoon - 12+ hours asleep
I do hope you all had a lovely time and I will definitely be ready for the next one that gets arranged close to me - North/west London anyone?Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Hi all, am I the first to post and say what a great afternoon we all had.Everyone was laughing and chatting away nineteen to the dozen.Good to see old faces and meet a few new ones as well.I had to go a bit earlier as I had some serious homework to do with my DGS's.They wanted to know all about where I had been and who I had nattered to.I had a gorgeous meal cooked to perfection by my son-in-law so I daren't eat much today until I got to their house. Nels, I didn't touch the gin at all but Ivy helped out by drinking my share for me.
Marie seemed a lovely lady and I think l she was taken a bit aback by us all. There were lots of snaps taken and I expect BargainRzl will be posting them in due course. She was off to a concert tonight so I doubt she will do it until tomorrow.Thank you all for such a lovely afternoon, and well done Caterina for organising it all, even though you were coughing and spluttering a bit with the remains of the flu.
It will be great to see what the rest of you thought of today .

Hi Jackie! Yes, a good time was had by all, including (I hope) the various menfolk who some of you brought along for the ride. It was great to see you again after such a long time, to meet meanmarie and savingforoz for the first time, and to see Caterina, ivyleaf and LilacLillie again (though it hasn't been quite so long since I last saw them). I can't post photos while at work but will put them up this evening

Hi, fellow OSers :hello:
Firstly, thanks to Caterina for organising it despite being so unwell. Thank
you (((()))) - those are the hugs I didn't get to give you yesterday. Sorry that I missed you, Meanmarie! But it was lovely to meet Bargain Rzl, Ivyleaf, JackieO and Lilac Lillie - sorry I didn't get a chance to chat more with you, but maybe next time!
Loking forward to seeing the piccies xxxxxLife is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Thanks again Caterina for organising yesterday, even though its obvious you are still under the weather!
It was a lovely meet up. It was so nice to put faces to the names, had to keep remembering 'real' names, so tempting to call everyone their board ones.
When we communicate on the forum people seem so genuine and caring and we feel as if we know each other, in real life the people I met yesterday came across exactly in that same way.
We were like friends that had never actually met IYGWIM.
Looking forward to the next meet up with lots more faces.

Hi all
Thank you all very much for coming along, I had a great time even though as you point out I was not 100% - but I am glad I managed to come along.
I hope to organise another one towards mid or end January, in Blackheath as usual.
It was lovely to see you all and the only thing I am very sorry for is that I was not a very good hostess for savingforoz nor for Marie and her husband, since I really had very little energy. I hope that you guys come back to visit me when I am well and I can show you around Greenwich!
Love to all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
