OS meet up?

When we had a meet in London last year, 4 of us and VickyA spent ages eyeing each other up before she plucked up courage to say she was meant to be meeting Stefejb, Shez, Bargain Rzl, ec. As she'd been talking on her phone, we'd assumed she was waiting to meet the person she was talking to :D

Hi yes ivyleaf the avatar is mine, people tell me I am still recognisable but I feel that pic looks much better than the reality (much younger at least!).

I also have to hunt for safety pins, don't worry!

I am not sure if I will be making it to the Taste thing after all as I have to go to town twice next week - once for a debenhams taste day/Jo Wood shopping event and then the next night to my book club/xmas drinks.. and that combined with tube fares to the football and back on Sunday will mean a heavy wodge going on my Oystercard...

On a sidenote I am always baffled when people talk about avatars. My mse doesnt show any photos or pics next to peoples posts nor in their profiles???

JackieO - Looking forward to meeting you, i have a flowery stick as well but am hoping we'll be able to park close enough not to need it or I shall have to walk in and announce "Hello, I'm NOT JackieO!"

Reverbe - That's odd! Maybe it's something to do with the settings on your computer or something? Sorry, I'm not at all technically minded......Perhaps you'll feel like coming on Sunday if you're not going out on Saturday, so probably best if we "expect you if we see you", then you won't feel under any pressure.

Go to your user control panel:

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/usercp.html (link will only work if you're logged in)

And in the menu on the left hand side click on "Edit Options".

In the page that this takes you to, there are some tick boxes as to whether you want to see avatars, signatures, etc

Ivy I'm having a rethink on the Taste thing as I have just got about a weeks worth of free food (see daily pleasures thread)so am wondering if £7 or so on fares can be afforded.But sadly I can't make Sunday at all as we are playing at home that day. I'm a Fulham season ticket holder and we have been playing our games on Sundays for ages due to being in Europe..
