It's a little bit closer than the Watershed, it's within walking distance if you know the way (which I know you don't so goodness only knows why I said that - memo to self - must engage brain before typing). A google search should bring up a map.
So, 1pm at Wetherspoons Corn Street it is. We can firm up on arrangements before then - as I said, I reckon I'll wear my green coat - so look out for a smallish brunette who is dressed like a giant Brussels sprout...Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Caterina, you can catch a bus from the station as well, as it is a bit of a walk! I shall be catching the train up and then taking a bus, far cheaper than parking!

Ok, 1pm at Wetherspoons in Corn Street it is. See you all there0

I'm quite tall and *ahem* "generously proportioned" so to speak! If it is cold (as I expect it will be!) I'll be wearing a long grey coat and a black hat. If it is cold and wet (or even snowy again!) I'll prob wear a blue & black 'ski' coat.

Just bought my train ticket! Saving more money and all that. £7.40 return so I am quite pleased with myself for my forethought
My friend has just told me that most Weatherspoons do a burger meal and a drink for £4.99 so this will be a very cheap day out0 -

Oh shame! I would have loved to have joined you all, but I'm working this date. Please put me on your list for the next meet. I will, however, work at possibly getting this day off as Leave maybe......Toto, something tells me we're not in Kansas anymore......0

Yes they do and one of the options is a veggiburger which is quite tasty too! They've also got options for £2.99 meals.
These are not bad either - especially for the price!
They also have a beer at 99p a pint, and San Miguel lager at 99p a bottle, and if anyone drinks rose wine you can get a bottle for £4.99.
Can you guess that we go to Wetherspoons fairly regularly?!? There is one not far from us, and if we are travelling anywhere we tend to check out their website beforehand....it's nice to try individual local places, but if you are stuck you can always guarantee a reasonably priced drink and food served until 10.00pm. OMG - I sound like a Wetherspoon's advert!!!!!!!!!!!
Really looking forward to meeting you all. I was trying to explain the concept to DH last nite: "Well, it's nice that you are meeting new people" he says "but what are you going to talk to a bunch of strangers about?" "Oh" I reply airily "sqeezing toilet rolls, diluting fabric conditioner and the uses of stardrops, things like that I expect". He just gave me the look which I always translate in my head as meaning something like - I love you but don't undertand you at all - am I married to a madwoman? The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

Can I come????
Mentioned this to OH, he thinks I'm going to meet some man.....that's good, keeps him on his toes!
I realised yesterday, that I haven't been out of the county of Devon since we moved my mother down here in May 2005. Yes, I know it's lovely down here, but I really should get out more!0
