I don't know what I shall wear but I am fat, got short red hair and wear glasses (look at my pic in the avatar, that's me!)!
Thanks mummysaver the shoulder is slowly defrosting, but it seems to take a loooooong time for the pain to go - better stop typing!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Can't believe I missed this message, with all the time I spend on here!
I'm def. up for a meet in Brissle! Free on the 28th Feb AFAIK at the mo.....
Do you mena the actual Watershed (don't tend to venture in there as I always think it must be expensive - or am I wrong?) - the Lloyds bar on the waterfront is just about my price-range if I ever do venture into town!
Caterina - just noticed your update that you are coming overnight - do you have somewhere to stay yet? I'll need to check that we don't have the SK's, but if we don't then we have spare beds!
Can't wait to meet some more OS MSErs - when I mention stuff like squeezing the toilet rolls to some of my friends they roll their eyes and shake their heads - I'm sure they think that I am heading for a padded cell in Barrow (not that Barrow has them anymore of course - but we still use the expression 'round 'ere!)

She is sorted for overnight.
What about eating in a Wetherspoons as there are about 6 or more in Bristol I think? Or is it enforced Pizza eating "because someone has a voucher"!!Torgwen.....................

That's a good point, I hope it's not expensive, I'd hate to sit there eating/drinking nothing to save money!
Hi Fran!
I don't know if it is expensive...it's just an impression I have got, don't want to worry anyone as I might be totally wrong, and I am doing it an injustice - Savingforoz?!? If we are going to meet up there and have a drink/coffee and then move on, then I'm sure it will be OK, and it is easy to find.
Re Wetherspoons - apart from the Lloyds bar on the waterfront (tends to noisy in the evenings but usually OK daytimes - DH used to work round the corner from it so we went there for lunch sometimes) there is a 'normal' Wetherspoons, the Commercial Rooms in Corn St, not far away from the centre, quite large and has quieter area in the back. I think it is a little bit cheaper than the Lloyds bar too.
Not a lot of help re parking I'm afraid - I bus or walk into town usually, or if I have to buy large/heavy stuff I park in the MallGalleries carpark (close to shops but not really to where we are meeting). Just DON'T go to the new Cabot Circus carparks - they are horrendously expensive!!!The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

Isn't there still a park and ride from Eastville Tesco? Been a long while but I have a vague memory...0

Personally, I don't think the Watershed is expensive, but will happily consider other suggestions where to meet. Wetherspoons in Corn Street will definitely be a cheapie, and it's nice and central. You lot decide - I'm happy wherever we go!
The Galleries car park may well be full as it's a Saturday.
AS far as I know, there's no Park and Ride from Tesco Eastville, sadly!
Fairy Elephant, don't be too sure that there's no padded cells any more at Barrow - I work in what used to be the old mental hospital there and I think my boss would love to reintroduce padded cells...! It also used to be a workhouse, and he is definitely aiming to reintroduce the workhouse ethic  !Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Just seen this and would loved to have come (I live in Bristol) but sadly I am away that weekend - let me know if theres another one.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0
-
Oooh, I might be able to make this, would it be okay if I came too?0
-
I think we can allow that, *moggins*
Keep an eye on this thread as we're not sure where we're going just yet.
I take it all back about my boss! Got a text this morning - office closed because of the snow!:jLife is not a dress rehearsal.0
