    Am so envious! :-P

We also had a good time tho' - and the music played in the background was Abba - so there! Much better than that boring old Puccini ;) !

Hope to catch up soon, will you be able to join mummysaver and me (and whoever else wants to join) this Saturday for the visit to the Geffrye Museum?
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Hi all

In case anyone else was hoping to catch us up at the Geffrye Museum, I am afraid it will not happen this week. Mummysaver let me know that she cannot make it to London and I have a load of work to complete, so I am also not going.

I hope to arrange another Blackheath meet sometime in February, what dates are good for anyone interested?

Does anyone fancy an OS meet up in Bristol? PM me and we can arrange something. I'm quite new to OS so would love to chat with others. My friends take an interest in my culinary efforts, and are envious of the new breadmaker, but that's as far as it goes! Anyway, hoping to hear from some of you in the area.

    Hi!

I know that you are planning a trip to London (and hope we will manage to meet then) - but I have never been to Bristol and would love a day out, do you know of VERY cheap train tickets? If so, I would love to come over!

caterina if you live in london check out www.megabus.com my bil who lives in london regularly comes back to bristol and back for as little as £1 each way.
in fact he has 3 times in the last 10 days!

i should add they do trains and buses despite the name! im not certain if the trains go as low as a £1 each way but have had them at £6 come up before.

Oh, put me down please! Only half an hour away from me!

Caterina, I second the megabus deals, my mate uses them all the time. Train isn't too bad if you book far enough in advance.

Another thumbs up from me for Megabus!!!

Any ideas where we could meet up, anyone? Preferably somewhere quiet where we can chat and where we can get something cheap to eat/drink.

I'm thinking somewhere central so we could maybe have a stroll around the docks/centre etc for those who don't live in Bristol, and also so it's easy to find.

Maybe a Saturday in either February or March? Will be nice to meet some fellow OSers, especially any into cooking!

If you're driving, parking, paying the toll, the train can work out cheaper. And that's before you factor in the cost of actually running the car (brings you closer to the next service, cost of tyres, etc)

Last time I went I think a return was about £14 to Temple Meads, depends where you're starting from though obviously ... if you're not near a train station it can be a long-winded expensive pain.

Ok, looks like we have a few people who'd like to meet up. What about Saturday February 28?

Any ideas where to meet? I'm thinking somewhere central to make it easier for everybody. Maybe the Watershed? All suggestions welcomed.
