OS meet up?

Hi all
Another quick bump up hoping that there are more takers for the new London OS meet up of 17th January, this time in E London.
If more of you want to meet but the venues I am proposing are inconvenient, please propose other places more suitable, I am sure that there must be a few of us in London willing to travel a little further to meet other OSers!
Have a good day everybody! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
I'd love to come along sometime (can't make the 17th, though). I'm relatively new to OS - been batch cooking/cooking for the freezer for ages, but my New Year's resolution is to improve my cooking skills from adequate to GREAT!!!
and to cook more things from scratch - bread/yoghurt/pastry etc. I'm based in Bristol but love coming to London on day trips, so the London venue would be no problem for me and I can look round some of the sights when I'm not with you guys. Look forward to it xxx

Hi savingforoz!
Please make sure to post here (anywhere on the thread) or even pm me if you prefer, when you decide to spend a day in London. If you do so with a bit of notice we can try and arrange a meet especially on the day that you are here, I am sure other people would be glad to meet you too! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Thank you, Caterina, that's lovely! :jLife is not a dress rehearsal.0

Hi all
Apart from Toonie and me nobody else has said they would be interested in this meeting in Walthamstow so far. I am going anyway and hope to be joined there by Toonie (because I want to check up the place out of personal interest) but please if you are interested in more OS meetings in London (anywhere) please make your voice heard!
It doesn't necessarily have to be me to organise, anyone can put a thread saying "fancy meeting on such and such day at a such and such place"?
Also if people have suggestions on where to meet it would be great to arrange meetings in other places, more convenient for more OSers.
I would love to continue meeting up because I really had a good time on both occasions! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
well if we can meet on the west side i'm more likely to be able to get there tbh
walthamstow is just too far for me (and i've never been there either!)

Sorry! Again can't make it. Off at a birthday party. Will probably be able to make sometime in February.
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -
I can normally travel to different places in London, though being in the East makes central London or north east easier. I can't think of many places which are easily accessible and reasonably priced, but I'm happy to go along with suggestions.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

Dronid, I am sure that we can arrange something in February, do you want to suggest any dates?
Anyone else want to suggest dates too so we can agree a day that is good for a few of us? Saturdays seem to be ok for a lot of people. I am easy about any time but afternoons work best for me.Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
