Not saying I don't like it - think I had a cartridge too wet experience, and not sure of the taste - but intend to get it right! I've a few more to try and intend to experiment over the weekend.

Just need alot of advice as really don't know what I am doing...... :o

  • I've just noticed that Oksmokey has added some liquid on his site that is said to be more to the English taste. When I've got the knack of it all I will try some as think that will be better for me - though not sure where you put it! Do you use an old cartridge, and if so, won't all the flavours clash?

I can send you the link to the site where i got my liquid refill if you like jeannie - its very much like what i would normally smoke - i actually prefer it now to the real thing - im only smoking when the e-cig battery runs out

I did get about 5 different flavours/strengths - even one that had nil nicotine. Only tried it for first time last night, so it is early days.

Any help and advice etc. welcome. I'm not a particularly heavy smoker. I smoke superkings black, and one ciggie lasts me ages as I don't smoke it all at once! I just need the 'hit' that you get from just a few puffs! I then can go several hours - well I have to as I am working!!

Meanwhile.... I'm off to bed as have an early start tomorrow - and judging by the snow falling - will have to get up even earlier than normal as the journey could be tricky...

Be online tomorrow night no doubt!! As long as not stuck in this blasted snow somewhere..........

  • Jeannie, you are t-h-e most naughtiest person I've e-v-e-r met :p

She drove me mad with worry (easily done) before buying her e-cig, then when she got it she cut me off - instead of asking about the wet cart for one thing  Now she's tucked herself up in bed and hidden away again! I must have frightened her :(

Jeannie, the carts need to be quite wet and you will often find they are wet on the outside, oily-feeling. I keep tissues handy.

If it seems there's too much juice, hold 'ash' end downwards as you take slow, gentle drags preceded by a mini-puff... so it's kinda like dot-dash.........dot-dash....

There's nothing much can be said about the un-tobacco-like, rather sweet juice flavours - except "Most people get used to them and prefer them after a while".

Are MoneySavers boycotting the helpful little eBay e-cig group? Lots of answers there which you can find without speaking to anyone or registering now that we've re-jigged it a bit (eBay groups are very limited).

A world map has been created with banners marking the locations of vapers (you insert your details):

...and you can have your own e-cig sig to add onto your MSE sig:

That savings claim is totally false - my tobacco was mostly paid for by someone else, now I've spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds on e-cigs and accessories... but I haven't had any baccy since less than a week after I got my first one :j

Very fluey at the mo, can't stay, bibi,

  • Hi all - i know that the e-cig is advertised as giving off "harmless" vapour but does anyone agree/disagree with this - i never smoked in the house but am wondering if this is safe to ?!

OK, I''m giving this a try too.

Do they give off much vapour? I'm not an indoor smoker either usually, but was hoping that using this would help keep me inside in the warm.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

  • Oh lordy - another b*ll*cking off of Veronarona............

    Look Missus - I am doing my best .. :o ..

Oksmokey have been very helpful and I am asking questions to other poor inexperienced twits like me to get a grip of the basics!

RacyRed - I've been told by family (and remember I am very very new to this, like 2 days .. :o .. ) that there is no smell from smoking these e cigs indoors - I can't tell, as when I have had a couple of puffs, I can still taste them and the senses seem to get mixed and think I can smell it too... :o

Watters - I have no idea re the harmless thingy - but if there is no smoke, then we aren't killing other people... possiby just ourselves.... I jest - I really don't know the answers to your questions.

I wonder ..... how do these e cigs go down in the States?? Generally, if they find something acceptable or safe, then it usually is, but takes three million years to come over here.......

It was mentioned on one of the earlier pages but I thought I'd mention it again - there is a very good forum at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

You should find all the information you need to know right there.

I've been using an electronic cigarette for around two months now and my smoking of regular cigs (rollies) has gone down from 40+ per day to around 4 or 5 per day, with occasional days where I smoke none at all.

My mum is very anti-smoking, and she doesn't mind me using the electronic cig in her house at all when I visit as it doesn't give off any nasty smells.
