I've just stumbled across this thread whilst browsing MSE with yes you have guessed it a ciggie in my hand and a cuppa as usual, so now i'm off to look for some advice and info on these e cigs, as i cant keep burning at least 30 quid a week on my habit. I've only been smoking for just over 2 years since i had a personal crisis, but really don't feel i can quit.

So i'm off on a fact finding mission now, as i haven't got a clue what i will need but would really like to give one a go as i really think one of these may be just the thing i need.
Hi i am interested in getting a e cigarette i want to pay about £25 for a kit can anyone recommend a website they have used i have looked on http://www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/ and the prices seem ok has anyone used this company.

I have been off real fags for 12 weeks now using the KR808D-1 model which is easy for beginners to this sort of thing. I got mine from jacvapour.com they have starter kits from £14.99 up to £35.99 and the refills are under £6 for the equivalent of 100 cigarettes as you get a 10% discount off future orders when you buy a kit. There are a couple of other British companies that sell this model (liberty flights I think is one) but this was the best price I found.

I didn't know that Woodbines were still made, I started my smoking career with them in the late 1950s :p

That Daily Mail article was written in May 08, there's been a lot of water under the bridge since then. The Tornado selling half price at TECC is hugely popular with the latest spate of newbies to join the All-About E-Cigs forum - but it won't suit someone who must have an e-cig that resembles a real one, and most of us do to start off with that attitude, then when we get used to it we advance on to a "mod" with longer battery life and generally better performance.

For those who want a "replica cigarette" look to their e-cig the Titan is the one to choose - TECC have a very basic kit selling for £12.50 + P&P, but it is just a taster as there is no spare battery to use while you're charging the spent one and no spare atomiser ("atties" are consumables and last as long as a 1-inch or a 1-mile piece of string, depending on luck). The £20 kit has 2 batteries, 2 atomisers and 10 cartridges of varying strengths which you can refill with juice to your own taste - it's great value.

When you select a colour it tells you the stock levels, some colours are sold out - unsurprisingly :)

TECC are a good supplier - we've been remarking what a brilliant lot nearly all e-cig suppliers are, but we do not recommend those advertising in the press, generally. Please ask first, whoever you're buying from!

Well done, Gem :) I do hope you can come along to All-About, whether you have any queries/problems or not. If you keep the same name I'll recognise you, but if I'm not there at the time there will be plenty who are and who will be only too pleased to help you. We are all so thrilled to have recovered from being hopeless smokers :p

You should have got an ackowledgment but I understand that they are snowed under (it's most unlikely there will be bargains like these in the forseeable future)... normally you'd get next-day delivery if you order early enough in the day.

Lots of All-About members have been spending £££ at TECC''s sale, we haven't had any problems except for a single duff item which they didn't agree was faulty, but that's out of loads of orders.

ive tried 2 ecigarettes types - the gamucci classic

    http://www.prezzybox.com/products/index.aspx?pid=4590

    and the E-Lites E60

    http://www.retailgadgets.co.uk/product.php?productid=175345

the gammuci is ok, the taste isnt quite there but its still fairly good.

the E-Lites for me was far better, much better tasting and produces more vapour.

they all taste different and im interested to try different models for the different flavours, but the 2 ive had so far have done the job well.

i still smoke occasionally, on a social basis but its now out of choice rather than necessity. i can stop if i want to, just by using my e-cigs.
