Coochy, karma is right. There are so many better & cheaper e-cigs available & the claims that e-lites make about the cartomiser (tips) equivalent to real cigs are so wrong0
-
Hi all,
I'm not new to e-cigs - I bought one last time I stopped smoking to help with the times I was most likely to relapse (with a glass of wine etc). However, I did relapse big time and the e-cig has been gathering dust in the kitchen cupboard since then while I have been chugging away on the expensive, smelly things.
The e-cig I have is a Smart Smoker Storm 510. I didn't put much thought into buying it, nor did I do much research. It gives a lot of vapour which is good but it looks too much like a standard cigarette so I might get 'challenged' if I try to 'smoke' it in the pub (has anyone had this problem at all?).
So, the reason for my post is because I having to give up the cigarettes, I have no choice, my husband has lost his job and once the cheap cigarettes I bought on holiday have gone, they're gone! I have just short of 600 left before I have to be on the e-cig full time. I do also know that it's time to do it. My husband gave up almost two years ago and has well and truly cracked it.
The cartridges I have don't taste very nice. I bought them from the same company as I bought the e-cig from. Can I buy cartridges from other places that taste nicer and will fit my Storm 510? I have been reading this thread and see that a lot of people use liquid but I don't really fancy doing that to be honest, but I am open to being convinced! All advice is much appreciatedThere is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0 -
I have been smoking for the last twenty five years and mainly roll ups were my favoured choice.
Recently ive been a bit concerned about my health in the years to come so decided to give ecigs a try as i do actually enjoy smoking.
A friend has a Vapestick so i thought id give that a try and bought a classic kit from tesco pharmacy for £45.
The first week was hard and i think my body was still craving the other nasty additives from fags but after 2 weeks i was getting used to the vapestick,
For the £45 i got 2 batteries,2 atomizors, charger and 10 cartridges. One cartridge was lasting me a day and a pack of 10 is £10 delivered to my door so not a massive dent in the wallet.
After a while i decided to try and refill my carts and bought a 5ml bottle of eliquid for £2.50 which i dripped onto the carts inner sponge.
This seemed to work ok and i thought great but now i started to look at refillable ecigs.
I found an offer on a site called vape escape and bought an intro vision kit for £17.99.
This was one 1100 mah battery, charger and one ego clearomisor now this was cheap so i thought wouldnt ne much cop but how i was wrong.
The battery alone would have cost nealry what i paid so it was a bargain.
The clearomisor is what heats up and also holds the liquid and im not sure how long it lasts for before needing replacing but it only costs a fiver plus this kit is compatable with any other ego/510 components so boge cartomisors would also fit.
This kit has given me great fun and gives off alot of vapour and great taste,
I have also tried the e-lites ecig and thought it was very poor in performance.
So for running costs and kit i would deff recommend either the
intro vision kit which or Ve Riva 100 deluxe kit which are both very good and worth the money.
Monthly running costs would be id say £20 this would get you a 30ml bottle of eliquid and enough cartomisors or a couple of clearomisors whichever you prefer.
I still use my vapestick when not at home as it looks like a real ciggy.
hope this has helped

If it is a 510 threaded e-cig, then yes you can buy cartridges (cartomisers) from all of the good UK online e-cig vendors plus you should be able to refill the the cartomisers you already have with e-liquid. Plus you can buy prefilled ones if you prefer:)
I wish I could help you more, but as the founder of the AAE-C UK forum, MSE wont allow me to post any links here, even though I don't get a bean from anyone from running said forumIt's just a dedicated help forum.

There is a lot of help and support on this site asparagus http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi....go to like beginners/new members and also check out the vendors. You can but try. Refilling is easy enough. You have to be prepared but if you want to do it you will do it as it works out so much cheaper than buying prefilled. But all in your own timeslimbutmedium wrote: »I have been smoking for the last twenty five years and mainly roll ups were my favoured choice.

Boges are great for newbies. I am still on them a year later :T. I use more liquid than that but still. There are lots of routes to vaping nirvana and like I wouldn't say I'm there yet. Vaping (e-cigs) can cost as little or as much as you like.....It's entirely upto you. But glad you've found a good kit that's cheap
. Lots of other good vendors on the friendly all about forum.

My dad has one of these... He'd tried to stop smoking by going cold turkey and he's also tried the 'sneak out while mum isn't looking' trick, but he seems to be sticking to this... and using it less and less too!
I think he got it from Amazon or something, but it seems like a godsend!0 -
Hi, I'm new to the forum after a friend recommended it as a good place to find advice and voucher codes.
I'm hoping to find more info about Whites Electronic Cigarettes and discount vouchers for them. I was given one of their kits as a present a couple of days ago and i've been surprised at how good their stuff is. I haven't used e-cigs before but I've done some research and am willing to keep using White's to try and cut down and save money especially as it's been really good so far. I've only smoked a few normal cigarettes (usually smoke about 15 a day).
If anyone has any vouchers or has been using them please let me know. I'll let everyone know how I get on but so far so good.0 -
Since my last post I've found a couple of voucher codes that I just used to get 10% off my order of refills. The one I used is "discountwd" for 10% but I also found another on their Facebook page which brings the price of a starter kit down to £12.50 with "startwhites".
Hope this helps anyone interested.0 -
So sad to see so much spam here from over priced bad e-cig vendors
Please if anyone is considering trying e-cigs as an alternative to smoking, please research them. For starters, check out the non affiliated e-cigarette forums.0 -
Blimey, the e-cig business must be doing ok.0
