Yeah there's loads of vendors on our friendly forum Mark.....and they are far better qualified and more experienced to offer newbies advice.

Our friendly forum is an an advice and info forum. Not just for sales. Things that would completely overwhelm MSE. If we just advertised e-cig vendors the thread would be completely overrun and become confusing and as there's more than one decent vendor it makes sense to like point them in the direction of the friendly forum

Also when we were on the no smoking thread there was a lot nastiness spread by those who don't like e-cigs (their prob personally) and the mods got involved so I'd be mortified if this thread turned like that. I know every thread goes through it's ups and downs but please no advertising of vendors on this thread

    Information sites yes. nOT VENDORS...

    Thanks

    Hi Erme,

Yes we were shown cheaper kits and have seen the cheapo ones in garages etc, but we were advised due to the amount she smoked that we were best getting a bigger kit as the very cheap ones are more like disposable.

I didnt realise we couldnt mention company name/sites. I thought the idea of this site was to spread the word of offers, etc for others to save money :o , and other posters before me are linking to sites ?

The beauty of the place we went to in Preston was that they let her try any of the kits before buying, so she knew that it would do the job :D

    Ray

There does seem to be a lot of shops selling e-cigs in the North West. Alas not here up in Scotland. I see your point. I didn't mean to upset you. Please stay around just be careful. I just end up stalking my postie.

Head over to all about e-cigarettes if she needs any more help. Maybe research some cheaper e-liquid or something? Or just for some general research.

Glad she is enjoying her vaping though :T and it's helping her.

Really am pleased for you folk

PS. I am loving my new ego battery. Okay so next question why did it take me almost a year to get an ego/riva ? Not least when the beginner kits are so cheap? Girlies want to have a bling e-cig out and about? Embossed one is the way to go :D

At the moment I am wanting a nasty (stress) so far my trick works. I buy lookalike and use it.

I got Motives last Tusday the rechargeable battery that comes with one filled cartomiser £9.99 plus a pack of 5 filled cartomisers £5.99. That one battery is still going strong and have one of the 5 cartomisers unused.

I haven't had a problem with the short battery life and could live while it charged (tops twice in a day)

I still have my Riva but need to buy more empty cartomisers as still have plenty of e-juice but the lookalike lets me fool myself I am having a nasty.

So bought another couple of the rechargeable packs and another couple of cartomiser packs just to have in. Its going to be next week before I can order more empty cartomisers for Riva, ones I have are months old and even steam cleaning them not bringing them back.

The fact the motives cartomiser is lasting me around two days ( had 6 on number 5 and it will last me till tomorrow so that will be day 9 is pleasing me as its letting me see I have reduced nic intake as when I first started with e-cigs used the lookalikes and their nic content was 18mg each and I went through two a day min. These ones now are 16mg. So costing me a bit more around £1.85 a day but still better and cheaper than the alternative.

I am just lucky this works for me, I still feel if I was to try a real one again I would just slip into my old ways hence me trying to fool myself.

Erme you are going through a lot at the moment so please don't feel bad when you are all sorted - maybe try getting yourself to agree when you move the nasties will be left behind....worth a try

    hugs
The motives I have been buying are in Sainsburys - for £9.99 you get one battery, one charger and on cartomiser. Then for £5.99 you can buy a pack of 5 cartomisers. The do them in tobacco or menthol flavours. They are sold at the tobacco counter - I noticed them as I passed it last week.

I know its still more expensive than my Riva but its helping me stay off the nasties and still works out for less. If I used one cartomiser a day then it would be dearer.

To me they taste fine.....different from riva not anywhere near as much vapour but plenty for me and they give me the back of the throat hit that to me is important.

I know I am still technically a smoker I am not sure I will ever be a non smoker again, but with these I can fool myself I am smoking. I just still need, at the moment anyway the full smoking experience but at least with these no nasty cough or breathlessness.

Next week when I order and receive the new cartomisers for my Riva I hopefully will go back to it and put these away for another time when I feel I want a real cigarette.

Sorry you are not moving.....don't know if you put it on facebook, not been on there for a week or so.

I ended up getting the Golden Burginia sample (about £3) and like the innokin cig a like cartos and so far so good :)....these are from vapeescape. The Golden Burginia doesn't taste good at first but after a few days steeping it tastes great!!!! And even gives me the head rush!....Yay...nasties be gone :) Would have been more mSE but I got an ego battery and charger too for out & about (the embssed girlie one)....So yeah recommended...

Might be with a try Prepare At Home? Just order when you have the pennies..

  • Erme, hope you don't mind me saying this, but most folks reading this thread wont have a clue what you are going on about due to the abbreviations you so often use :)

Thanks for the reproof. I guess I'm paranoid about the mods so I use abbreviations. But still I needed that...

Thanks so much Isaac-the-red. Last post now edited....

I bought one of these 2 weeks ago

    http://www.cigg-e.co.uk http://wehatetobacco.com/

It may seem expensive to begin with but the oil lasts about a week

I have been very surprised with It as Ive tried lots of other methods but this reaaly works
My friend started using one about 14 months ago and she showed me how It worked,at the time I wasn't ready to give up

I decided to take the plunge and Im so glad I did

  • Hello Wooohooo :)

The kits on that website are very expensive compared to the good UK e-cig vendors :(
  • Well done, Wooohooo, welcome to the "club". That's a good starter model you've chosen (not just a starter model that will "do" but a good one), known as Tornegoriva because you can get virtually the same model with different brand names. I know I've missed at least one in that multi-moniker :p

As Isaac said, you can get it cheaper from a number of good UK suppliers so if you need more batteries/atties etc, do have a look around.
  • Well done stopping smoking Woohoo
