Well I've had my ups and downs lately with the e-cig...

Still quite happy with my lavatube. Not so happy with my argento (doesn't have enough vape!!!).

I had 1/2 oz of tobacco in a matter of hours when sick (mental health stuff) the other week and have had a job keeping off the nasties since. ...

It took me over a week to smoke my next 1/2 oz and would have lasted even longer if I'd been allowed to vape in A+E.... (about 8 days) which I don't think is bad and now been cig free 2 days. I've upped my nic/ml (strength) as like I noticed a few days after the 1/2 oz I was really craving nicotine. Now it's fine though. The odd craving but nothing too serious

But I'm moving and have a lot stress on so wouldn't be surprised if I have a few nasties yet. Here's hoping not though

Well, as some of you will already know, I'm loving my Riva, and have just had to buy another one for Mr A . He ran out of cartos for his e-lites (whoops), so I gave him my spare Riva battery with a clearomiser on top, put his favourite juice in it and bingo!

Erme, please don't beat yourself up about having had a nasty, don't count the ones you have had, count the ones that you haven't. Every now and then I feel myself yearning for a nasty, but so far, I haven't given into temptation, but I'm not kidding myself that I may give in at some point, especially when I'm very stressed. Hope that your health is better now.

ETA - Mr A seems to be more adventurous than me with the flavours, he loves Grizwald's Jamaican fruit punch, and Vape Escape's Apple, whereas I'm not so impressed. I guess his taste buds have some back sooner than mine, but I do love Grizwald's Menthol Tabac and Vape Escape's regular menthol.

At the moment I am wanting a nasty (stress) so far my trick works. I buy lookalike and use it.

I got Motives last Tusday the rechargeable battery that comes with one filled cartomiser £9.99 plus a pack of 5 filled cartomisers £5.99. That one battery is still going strong and have one of the 5 cartomisers unused.

I haven't had a problem with the short battery life and could live while it charged (tops twice in a day)

I still have my Riva but need to buy more empty cartomisers as still have plenty of e-juice but the lookalike lets me fool myself I am having a nasty.

So bought another couple of the rechargeable packs and another couple of cartomiser packs just to have in. Its going to be next week before I can order more empty cartomisers for Riva, ones I have are months old and even steam cleaning them not bringing them back.


The fact the motives cartomiser is lasting me around two days ( had 6 on number 5 and it will last me till tomorrow so that will be day 9 is pleasing me as its letting me see I have reduced nic intake as when I first started with e-cigs used the lookalikes and their nic content was 18mg each and I went through two a day min. These ones now are 16mg. So costing me a bit more around £1.85 a day but still better and cheaper than the alternative.

I am just lucky this works for me, I still feel if I was to try a real one again I would just slip into my old ways hence me trying to fool myself.

Erme you are going through a lot at the moment so please don't feel bad when you are all sorted - maybe try getting yourself to agree when you move the nasties will be left behind....worth a try

The only way i thought Mr Suki would stop smoking was if he was 6 ft under. He tried hypnosis, nicorette patches, gum, lozengers, inhilators, champiz and zyban. In the many years I've known him he has only not smoked for 4 days and that's because he was ill and not really physically able to.

He bought the skycig last week full price, then realised one pack wasn't enough because of the batteries, so ordered another with a discount he found on here for a huge discount. So with 2 packs and some vape escape stuff (deluxe tobacco), he is converted. No cigarettes today (or analogues as he calls them), just e-cigs.

I am amazed and so proud of him. He says he prefers them. This is such a huge step. :T:T:T:j:j:j

So stress relieved and no nasties since Saturday night ...Had the craving but so far no nasties...

Might try that disposable idea PAH? Where do you recommend I get one from? Does it taste like a cigarette? I like the thinking

Moving was doing my head in. I'm not surprised when I think about it I've had nasties what with finishing with nurse and moving....but still...

Roll on being debt free and getting that £200 e-cig (daren't say which one cos I know there are trolls who monitor this thread and report each and every little blip to their mod friends)

The motives I have been buying are in Sainsburys - for £9.99 you get one battery, one charger and on cartomiser. Then for £5.99 you can buy a pack of 5 cartomisers. The do them in tobacco or menthol flavours. They are sold at the tobacco counter - I noticed them as I passed it last week.

I know its still more expensive than my Riva but its helping me stay off the nasties and still works out for less. If I used one cartomiser a day then it would be dearer.

To me they taste fine.....different from riva not anywhere near as much vapour but plenty for me and they give me the back of the throat hit that to me is important.

I know I am still technically a smoker I am not sure I will ever be a non smoker again, but with these I can fool myself I am smoking. I just still need, at the moment anyway the full smoking experience but at least with these no nasty cough or breathlessness.

Next week when I order and receive the new cartomisers for my Riva I hopefully will go back to it and put these away for another time when I feel I want a real cigarette.

Yeah I put it on facebook. It was my decision not to move so am happy about it...

5 diddy days till debt free date ...will check out sainsburys next time I'm passing.

Boys are out for a run...yeah happy boys (till i flung one back from doing a bolt for the kitchen LOL. Sure I could catch him in the kitchen but it's out of bounds for the boys. Hallway and bathroom for them only

Thanks will order it when I do the empty cartomiser order, which might not be till next week now as sons job has gone and he won't have the money to meet his car payment on 15th so I will have to lay it out so he doesn't default.......so money I get tomorrow will not be enough for both so will have to wait now till hubby gets paid to order more.......always something........just as well I keep a good storecupboard.....

Well with all the stress of the weekend (what more stress for erme ) - family stress this time . They've both swanned off down to the olympics without inviting me and not just for an event or two. for the best part of 3 weeks!!! (they are going for the paraolympics too . M says she couldn't stay the entire three weeks so she's breaking it up...fact is...didn't get invited to the royal wedding. Don't get invited to anything fun ....even when H did the NY marathon the other year didn't get invited. Didn't even get told that time. Found out via bebo (remember those days LOL)

they didn't notice me last week. Told me I should move without knowing the facts. etc. etc. then said (after I made my decision not to) horrid stuff like 'feel sorry for the girl you were supposed to be exchanging flats with' and the next day 'sorry you're so disappointed about not moving'.....Like they even noticed me!!!! :mad: Nope I was upset about M's comment the previous night not about that!!!
