Just taken delivery of a Mk1 Lavatube - nice piece of kit, I can see that doing me for the next year or so. The same seller also unloaded 19 bottles of flavourings, so I'll be experimenting a bit when some PG arrives0

I honestly don't think I could go back to being happy with an ego style pv now.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Hi All,
Hope you dont mind me jumping onboard this thread. I've had an email from wowcher today with an offer from Freedomcigarettes.com.
Offer is = Your e-cigarette starter kit box contains:
3 premium flavour cartridges - original tobacco or menthol.
Plus an extra 5 cartridge pack from a choice including: original tobacco, original menthol, tobacco lights or Java Juice (coffee).
I've not used these before but have read a bit on this thread and reckon I'll give them a go. The above offer is £9.99 +4.99p+p. I'm wondering though how they compare in size and weight to a standard cig? I've seen some in petrol stations that look huge in comparason and are heavy.
Any advice?
Thanks,

I hopefully got another convert, but will never know - I was waiting for hubby to pick me up after friend and I had been out and was happily vaping away when this girl comes up smoking a nastie and asks what I was doing - I had my pink riva battery with plain black cartomiser so it looked quite perculiar, I had just thrown what I was using in my bag not giving a thought to what it would look like to others. So of course happily explained and she told me I just looked as if I was smoking and told her I felt as if I was and was enjoying the experience, turns out she has bought a lookalike or two but not tried them yet as was sure she wouldn't feel she was smoking, upshot was she planned on opening up the packet as soon as she got home to try one and if she liked it I gave her details of the riva and bits.......My friend has just stopped smoking again for about the 10th time in four years and on patches and inhalator and is at the evangelic stage and was going on to the poor girl how bad smoking was and what damage she was doing to her body, she had, had a bit to drink and gets like that. She has many a time when I still smoked had a go at me when she had stopped smoking for good until the next time, she usually lasts about 6 weeks then goes back to the nasties but refuses to consider an e-cig as she knows she can stop smoking by willpower alone ( patches and inhalator's are will power to her). She keeps expecting me to give in and start up again and keeps asking how long it is now and can see she is getting worried as it nearly 5 months for me, as she is so convinced you can only come off smoking through willpower......Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

You don't seem to mention anything about the battery? do you get 1 or 2?
Personally, I wouldn't go for it. Most of the look-a-likes are not very good, ok perhaps just to try to see if you feel that it would work for you I suppose!
If you want some really good advice, links to good suppliers and discount codes, pop across here, have a read and join in, there is always someone who will help with any questions

Having a look at their page and seeing their starter kit is £49.99 with only ONE battery, I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
I would however go to the forum Karma mentioned, introduce yourself and ask the same questionFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Yeah ditto that......You need at least 2 batteries (3 if you're prone to losing them)...lots of good cheap kit on the market these days for newbies a fraction of the price of £50 which you really don't need to spend on a newbie kit. My last kit cost £30 including postage and came with 3 batteries (no cartridges though or liquid but I had those :A)
