I do have a tank that takes a pre punched normal carto, I quite like that too
I'm a boge and tank girl and have been for ages (months)...cheap as chips and like no probs...the vision egos I just can't get the hang of
27 days today and still doing well.
I got on the scales today as I haven't weighed myself for a week or two and to my amazement I have lost 4 pounds.I was expecting a slight increase with stopping the stinkies, I was wondering if the elastic had gone in my running trousers as they feel like they are falling down. Well now I know why.
Treating myself to a wash and blow dry at the hairdressers today to celebrate the my latest achievements in running and quitting the stinkies. I think it's a good idea to use some of the money I have saved in this way to keep me motivated.
SIL is really impressed with my progress too and is hoping to quit starting tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
I found I didn't put on weight with the e-cig. I also managed to lose. though when I had 1/2 oz the other week when head bust, I had practically no appetite. And it took me all day to smoke that 1/2 oz which is amazing!!! (I used to be an oz a day rollie smoker).....
It can take up to 2 years folks for your body to clear out the gunk so don't worry if you're still coughing up phlegm

That's silly really, hope they don't do that here,
The way I see it is, if there isn't a policy I'll smoke away, and I would want to see the policy on ecigs before I stop smoking.
I still think though we are in early days? People still seem to think ecigs are bad, my mum doesn't want me smoking it in the house because she and I quote 'doesn't want to get cancer from the nicotine' so shes very misleaded, I still smoke anyway :] Kinda the whole point to having a ecig....lol
I'm not saying ecigs are healthy, but they are certainly healthier than regular cigs and most defiantly cheaper.
Just a thought Drew, but it might help if you tell your mum you aren't smoking but vaping when using your e-cig0 -
One thing I've noticed is I've not had a cold since I started vaping instead of smoking. I read a journal article where propylene glycol (the main ingredient of the liquid) had been atomised and introduced into the atmosphere of a hospital ward and resulted in a significant reduction in respiratory illnesses. It's a reasonable bacteriocide & virucide so might have something to do with it.
I used to get colds all the time, so either not smoking has made me so healthy I can't catch colds, or something is killing them when I get them.
I'm certainly not that healthy, even after stopping smoking, so it's almost certainly the other one.
It's a nice side effect and makes me love vaping all the more.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I've not had a chest infection since I started vaping and I used to get loads before.....
Had the odd infection but nothing too serious...Just a little flu like symptoms for a couple of days. Certainly nothing really bad and nowhere near as bad as when I was smoking :j

If you want a link/copy of the study I can send it to you or post it up here.
I did research the e-cig liquids pretty thoroughly before I started using them and they're pretty innocuous compared to an 'analogue' cigarrette. My biggest issue is the lack of regulation for the production of the liquids. They're currently sat in a 'dead zone' where they're not classed as a pharmaceutical product so don't come under the quality and purity controls associated with pharma.0 -

Thanks would love a copy or link so can have it to hand for doctor if needed.
I did same over e-liquids and have to admit was a bit dubious about buying ones from China but then found Grizwalds sold by Jason and just feel as he makes them to order and is new and so trying to build up the company he will be more careful over what he puts in and so far not disappointed, he is a great guy and great service ( no no shares honest injin:rotfl:). Have got some other ones I admit from other companies that are recommended on allabout but mainly I vape my Whisky Cream and Vanilla tabac - now 15mg nicotine, as slowly going down and when these big bottles finished will ask him for 12mg.
Told hubby - he always hated me smoking, but never had known me as a non smoker and just put up with it- and he agreed how even he has not had more than a sniffle and then it goes and he loves the smell - especially the vanilla tabac, he will stand there and sniff it in, where as with nasties he used to run out of room - I did only smoke in my bedroom or outside. So he was very pleased to hear that and told me that he knows I have said I plan eventually to get down to zero nicotine then stop vaping, but as it gives me pleasure and now has health benefits he is never going to complain about how much it costs ( unlike the nasties). Never let him rule what I did, but does make life smoother when partner is happy :TNeed to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

I'm still coughing up phlegm weeks after switching to e-cigs, anyone else have this too? =/
i recommend getting your own mix if anyone is interested in switching, it's much cheaper than buying those e-cigs cartridges, especially the 2 piece e cigs, which costs more due to the fact the cartridges come with a atomizer together.
It is good that you are coughing up the phlegm, it is your lungs clearing that gunk out, it took about 6 weeks for mine to clear from day 1 of vaping, now 3 months on no phlegm.
I have a Riva 1100 and other batteries,I just love all the juices you can buy, Strawberry, Chocolate,Coffee and liquorice are my favourites with 8mg nicotine. You live..You learn.:)0 -
Had a look through my saved files and the study I mentioned is cited here:
http://www.healthnz.co.nz/Portland2008ECIG.pdf
The study itself was done back in 1945 when dosing humans with interesting chemicals was far easier than today. Although when you look at the legislation there's currently more for animal welfare than human.:rotfl:
There are a few other interesting studies that have been done at their labs I'm going to have a peruse of them during my lunch break.

Gack. Just got some Whiskey Cream - it's like old socks boiled in milk, but adding 50/50 Vanilla ejuice transforms it into a vape I'm quite with for hours on end.
Oh, here's a heads up for bargain hunters - this supplier is doing 50% discounts at the moment, using the discount code... 5yearteeceetrade
