  • I am an e-cigg ocnvert! 3 weeks and I dont want to smoke. I have a tanko 510 [Riva?], prefer this to the atomiser I started with. I have no issue with cost as its working out the same as smoking, but my fingernails have grown long and strong already, Ive lost the palpitations I was getting at night and I have more time, no coughs, no stink of smoke in the living room, nicer skin. Thats just in 3 weeks. Best of all I do not want roll ups.
I just hope that no a***ole comes along and takes them off the market any time soon.
    Reccommend to anyone!

It feels quite good when you change a few things isnt it njk? I done the same last weekend, had a complete re-style & colour, it takes some getting used to however:)

I've been alternating between medium and low strength e-juices and quite honestly there is no difference, in fact I've not had any nicotine cravings when using the lower strength, its just as enjoyable as the medium. Managed to use the low strength solely over the weekend with no problems.

Now the only problem is finding a new kettle that wont "explode" on me............. had 2 kettles in 3 months that the base unit has gone flash & bang on me, then hasn't worked:eek:

Great to hear Beautiful_ravens, you should find the cost reduces after a bit though as you will only have to buy the liquid not more hardware.

I read somewhere the government is supposed to be making a decision about e-cigs next March, I think they have some study going on and results will be ready then, and I dread what they will do, as they don't receive tax from them so as they seem tax mad ( years ago I read a sci fi story where the government had taxed oxygen and everyone had to wear a moniter to record how much they used and when they used their allotted amount each month, they had the choice of paying a massive tax bill or being frozen for rest of the month and as most people were poor as everything was taxed to the hilt it mean most of the population spent only about a week or so unfrozen as oxygen allowance was only enough if you stayed totally calm and moved slowly every month - the government excuse was it was helping the planet and keeping the peace as people who got excited and into fights used more oxygen and the story stuck in my memory as over the years we have been taxed more and more ( sorry O/T) so I suppose they will start to tax any nicotine product or decided e-cigs are to dangerous for us and ban them.

I have just bought one new battery and more whisky cream and Vanilla Tabac - my two favourite and all day every day liquids as one Riva battery packed in, but now second one is only lasting a day instead of the 3 it was lasting so will order another couple and more liquid to build up a bigger stock, as forgot about the fact government had not as yet said yay or nay to e-cigs.

Esme, I have one of those instant kettles, very handy and moneysaving as you are only heating enough water at a time as you need :)

Well done shoperholicnot & ravens  Its a fab feeling isnt it?

Prep........... I use the rainbow visions most days and love them, I have 2 Imist attys as well as the rainbows and cant say that one is better than the other, other than one is a bit cheaper:) But they last for ages!

coinxoperated.............. Yes you do have to spend out at first but the juices are not that expensive, the suppliers that I and others use always have a discount code or a special offer going so really you are not spending what you would as if you bought a pack of cigarettes. The main cost at the beginning is your e-cigarette and then buying your juices......... once you find something you like, you can buy it in bulk and save money:)

I used to smoke between 12 - 15 nasties a day........... its not that much but when you think that somedays I could buy a pack a day just to make sure that I didnt run out and at £6.50 - £7.50 a pack each day and now buying 10mls of juice, which can last me 5 days at £2.95 - £4.50............. or sometimes if it is on offer, more than one bottle or a couple from each supplier doing a special..........its no contest really I'm saving loads as well as feeling much, much healthier:)

Another convert and (almost) success story here. I do post very very sporadically on the AAEC forum and can testify that they are a luvverly bunch and v helpful.

Cost wise. I'm saving money from not smoking rollies anymore. It's not huge amounts to be honest but I tend to buy my juices direct from a store so pay a premium; not very MSE but my paypal account has gone awol owing to some sort of glitch that I really cannot be bothered to sort out!

Healthwise though, it's another story. I don't have a horrible hacking cough, my skin is so much brighter and my teeth have lost that horrible yellow tartar build up. All in all, I'll take that over saving a few quid anyday.

It's a big heartfelt thanks so those on here who promoted the E cig thread; without it I'd still be gasping for breath after walking up the stairs. xx
