Now, I was intrigued so paid the fiver and took one of the little boxes.
The one I got was called Gamucci I think. Now it was OK,but not quite there ,battery does not last long, taste not great but I thought it had potential and I was fed up of chewing bits of rubber,so I looked on the net, thinking maybe theres something similar but better? I was gobsmacked.
All these things i'd never heard of, RIVAS, EGOS,E-LIQUID!!!!?? and
so many interesting informative forums. By this time I had thrown the gum through the window and was sitting there puffing on a Silk cut silver.
So, I took the plunge and bought a kit compromising Of an EGO-T with clearomisers. Got it on Thursday, and have not had a real fag since. Im not even tempted. Brilliant.
For me I think it is the act of smoking more than a nicotine hit that I miss. Basically I like the throat hit, blowing out the smoke etc.
I threw away nicotine gum 4mg to smoke silk cut 0.1mg, so i think its more habit than nico addiction.
I really enjoy vaping, I dont smell of fags anymore and I am already starting to feel like I can breathe better.
I think they are brilliant.
I spent about £100 but I should have enough liquid for about 2 months, and i bought quite a few clearomisers from health cabin.
I will save about £210 a month after spending about £20 on liquid.
I have tried EVERYTHING in the past, even Hypnosis and Champix,
I think I have hit the jackpot this time.
I am going to try and cut down over time, and eventually wean myself off them, but if i dont manage it I dont care! I am enjoying it, I am not killing myself with chemicals anymore and I am richer!! LOL
Win win in my books
well done shopaholic... look forward to seeing you on AAEC forums, great place to chat about your experiences and get any help you need, really friendly people. You live..You learn.:)0 -
Very well done Shoperholicnot it is a great feeling isn't it, as I mentioned I only started to use e-cigs to try and cut down, no-one is more surprised than me how after starting to use them I never smoked again, as you say its the whole thing about smoking that is the appeal to me and the e-cig fulfils that.
One of the batteries of my Riva has packed in so just emailed Jason to see if its still under grantee ( doubt it) if not will buy another one as last thing I want now is to not have e-cig - I do have the SD keyring as a back up but got used to using the Echomisor rather than normal cartomisers and that will not fit on SD Keyring. I am not sure if I was left without any e-cigs if I would be tempted to buy real ones, and don't want to put myself to the test not just after not quite 4 months.
Am thinking of buying a Clearomiser, anyone here used one and are they as good as the Echomisor

I totally love the vision ego clearos prepareathome - they fit the Riva perfectly and are easy and long lasting. Each one's lasted nearly a month so far, brilliant invention.
Can I please say that your post before last sounds as though you're a new woman. I remember when you first started out on this journey and you were in pain with lots of doubts, it sounds like you can take on the world now, full of confidence and 'can do', you sound much happier.11th Heaven prizes Number 103

Hi Prep, lots of people love the vision egos and get on great with them, I don't, I prefer the echomisers or just plain boge cartos.
I do have a tank that takes a pre punched normal carto, I quite like that too0 -
73 days. 3728 fags not smoked, saving €372.63. Using e-cigs.
Well done to everyone! I wondered if I'd ever get to this stage - a couple of years ago I was quite resigned to puffing away until my dying day, which probably would have happened sooner than I liked.0 -
27 days today and still doing well.
I got on the scales today as I haven't weighed myself for a week or two and to my amazement I have lost 4 pounds.I was expecting a slight increase with stopping the stinkies, I was wondering if the elastic had gone in my running trousers as they feel like they are falling down. Well now I know why.
Treating myself to a wash and blow dry at the hairdressers today to celebrate the my latest achievements in running and quitting the stinkies. I think it's a good idea to use some of the money I have saved in this way to keep me motivated.
SIL is really impressed with my progress too and is hoping to quit starting tomorrow. Fingers crossed!Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

Well done! I love the extra treats, I went for some retail therapy the other weekend and loved it. And it was also nice not constantly looking for the nearest exit for a quick puff lol. I've put a grand total of 2lbs in 7 weeks so just keeping my eye on it for now. Slightly worried about the weight as I've just ordered my wedding dress in a 12 so can't put any weight on in the next 16 months lol:beer: Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -
I did that twice before... gave up after a few weeks. Third time lucky! I'm on 7 weeks 2 days and so far so good.
I do wish some people (certain family members) would understand how it really is. I was smoking for 20 years, nearly 2 thirds of my life! But, my OH is all the support I need
Got loads of wedding planning stuff to do today so my mind will be well off the fags today!
Well done to everyone and keep it up
I’m doing this for my daughters, not for me, and apart from a slight slip-up this morning (3), I’m hoping to get back into it!

Yes, I did, and it was working as much as it could be (as in the replacement method), however the main thing that I missed was the nicotine first thing in the morning with a coffee. Nothing can replace that!
I’m using 4 ‘Liberro’ models.

Also, I started with the realis, which I presume is the one you have, 2 or 3 weeks in I found I wasn't getting out of it what I needed to, so I moved on to something better, something in retrospect I should have done to start with, but was so preoccupied on getting something the same size as a cigarette, I was blind to the inadequacies of the look-a-likes.
I also had loads of problems with the battery life on the realis, batteries lasted different amount of time, batteries sent back were returned with ones that were no better.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
