Just to say we're still in the office here... but gettin gmore info is difficult - we're going to try on monday to find out how the ISA situaiton will work. My suspicion (guess) is they'll do it like the old Tessa to Toisa certificates where you had a certificate with a 6 month life span to open a new ISA up to the same amount as you had in there.

Does anyone want to buy a very cheap return rail ticket Grimsby to FSCS Offices on 7 nov 08 and a hardly worn puffin fancy dress costume? :o

    Just as well everything's sorted.
I've just heard that Icelandics have sacked the old Minister of Finance and replaced him with a mister Eukan Ferkovski,
a very difficult man to negotiate with!

Hes taking his assistant with him a Mr Iama Dicead.

lets hope it all works smoothly.

how do you think they'll pay isa - how will we retain the tax free status. any ideas?
I had an ordinary savings account and an Isa. Maybe with the isa statement printed off as proof we will just be allowed to deposit that amount in another isa provider and have exemption status. We would have proof that we were previous icesave isa investors.lets hope it will not be complicated and will get the money back as quickly as possible.

I'm still leaving my "I'm an Icesaver" banner in my living room window, I've not had a hawker since!
AND I'm leaving my "I'm an Icesaver" sticker on my car windscreen. I parked in Tesco's car park the other day, when I came back two Albanian lads had cleaned it for nowt!
