I also fell for this yesterday, so much for a few quid postage they have helped themselves to nearly £70 out of my bank. The fact that I am totally skint as it is has meant I have had to borrow money to cover this. I am so angry, how dare this company do it. I never even got an email confirming the order, I just happened to check my bank balance and was horrified. How can companies get away with this?0

i too have fallen for this but cant get through to cancel on any of the numbers. have written and emailed to the do not reply email confirming my order. the name of the company on website is Nutrmax Labs INC Hollywood boulevard and nothing on packaging other than the zip code 33022. i follwed the thread and tried some of the numbers - no help. i will have to cancel my debit card and hope for the best. Bank say they will not be able to stop unless i have cancelled and they will query only when the next payment is attempted! this was the website i used was mydietmaxcleanse.com but suspect they are all running the same scam.
can anyone help with other advice - feel so stupid ! :mad:0 -
OK, this happened to me too. First things first, cancel whichever card you paid them with just in case. Then call this number: 08081683410 and insist on speaking to a superviser. I spoke to someone called Jamie Johnson. Then give them a deadline for the time at which you will be calling the police. They have deliberately set up their website so it switches your request at the last minute without you being able to see what they are doing. I did not give in, told them that I would never go away, and that I would call the police as they had taken my money without my permission. They tried to neogiate with me as to how much they would refund me, but I kept on telling them how much longer they had before I called the police. This was last Thursday and the money was put back into my bank today. These type of people make me really mad.
Hope it works for you.0 -
I was suckered by the website.
Cancelled order and contacted Credit Card company.
Credit Card company said it was my problem.
I disputed amount with CC co as Acai were supposed to take £1.19 and actually took £67 and £0.79
CC co refunded and awaiting Acai response.
Acai agreed to cancel but sent first batch.
I returned batch (recorded delivery) citing Distance Seller Regulations which give me 7 days to change my mind.
I will still cancel my CC as I don't like that Acai have my details.
Will update if anything else happens.
luck to all

They have taken 2 (luckily small) amounts from my account but despite this they can find NO reference of me or my order whatsoever!! they are apparently going to call me back!
What an IDIOT!!!!! Why didn't I investigate more and find this before going for it!

Is there anywhere I can complain about this? is there anything to do?
the first T's and C's I found said 14 days but I then realised they were the wrong ones and the ones for mine are 10 days. I tried to cancel yesterday but couldn't and today is apparently too late and I'm going to have £58 pounds taken from my account whatever I do!
I am so angry. It's technicaly still the 10th day but they refuse to help despite me being unable but trying to cancel yesterday.
I'm in a right state! I really can't afford this.

I feel very embarrased but I have been duped by a company offering a free trial of Acai Berry diet pills. So far I have paid $87.13 which works out at £54.48 on my Halifax credit card. I've cancelled the card, but apparantly they can still take money out. Ive phoned Diet Max on 01617680100 to cancel the order and filled out an online cancellation form but not had a confirmation email. Does anyone have an email or postal address for this company? How long could this go on for. So far I've only had one payment go out. I'm worried to death over this.
thanks for your help0 -
