Just sitting and waiting now - can't do much else, I have sent some emails to those on bigg's list - thanks bigg, think I might take the dog out for a really long walk, that should pass an hour or so - feel I need some fresh air! Hopefully when I get back the money will have started rolling in for us all.0

Waiting for £32,000! Just checked statement and CHAPS fee has been reimbursed...BUT.....it shows that was refunded on 7th, transfer and CHAPS charge on the 8th....that's not what my statement said on the 10th when it showed only the CHAPS charge!! Who's playing with the figures??
That's what i thought when i saw the latest update on my account. Surely it can't be right that they can go back in time and make a change to the history of your account. If it's a correction then surely it should have the date the correction was applied and say refund of CHAPS fee from the 8th.No more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -

Neither do I....but I don't like the fact that something that wasn't on my statement on 10th suddenly appears now, dated 7th. Will my statement show I had no money to transfer come tomorrow???!! Glad I printed off a copy of the statement on the 10th...so have a record.I have money!!!!:j :j :j :j 31st October 3.30pm. Organised by nice lady from E & Y, very, very grateful.
£20 debit for CHAPS received 27th - dated 7th on A/C0 -
Still waiting following a 8/10/2008 CHAPS request for a 41k withdrawal, account showed £20 credit 27/10. Not a lot of use in my KE account.0

Just been on the phone to KE. Chap on the phone sounded very weary (like he'd taken alot of flack today) he said I should get a phone call from his Manager today, and also an eamil todaycouldn't say when, or even give me an eta on when my money will be arriving.
(...Just gonna go lie on the floor, pound my fists and say waaaa...)0 -
Right that's it for the next few hours. I will now officially NOT look at my bank accounts til 5pm today. Hmmph.0

Just spoke to KE and was told that people are currently receiving call backs to be told their money has been traced and it will be received (date here). I asked if everybody's money has been traced so far and she said 'yes'.
I explained that I phoned on Friday and she told me to expect a call this pm.No more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -

Is it my imagination....or was most of the money currently in the ether transferred on 8th? Could be significant if it is. Any ideas out there?I have money!!!!:j :j :j :j 31st October 3.30pm. Organised by nice lady from E & Y, very, very grateful.

Hi All
Just a quick update!
88 people awaiting transfers
I have had 36 people contact me out of the 88 awaiting transfers.
The Total for the 36 is £1,017,913
If anyone else wants to PM me their amount and date I will add them to the list!
Next update will be later this afternoon!CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0 -
Is there any organization that we can contact to help expedite the missing transfer situation.
One I have in mind is the Financial Ombudsman Service. Also, what about contacting BACS directly? 3 weeks and counting to receive a BACS transfer is a disgrace. Something is clearly malfunctioning. Any other thoughts?
There have been various references to this over the last few days. On the APACS website which runs chaps payments FAQs on this subject suggest that the money is not missing and is still with the original bank (KE).
Q. I made a payment from my Icelandic bank account and the payment hasn't arrived, where is my money?
A. Your money will not have left your own bank and it is more than likely that your bank is in the process of putting that money back into your account so you will be able to see the updated status of your account when you next log onto your account online.
Clear as mud as far as our transfers are concerned.0
