They broke our bonds as requested and eventually the money reappeared in the KE savings accounts, so we transferred it to our link account on Thursday 23/10 - now disappeared from KE but still not appeared in our linked account.

It takes 3 working days for a BACS transfer. You should get your money tomorrow.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

I see that I have been refunded my CHAPS fee in my account where the payment was received on the same day yet no refund in the account (my wife’s) where the payment is still AWOL (unfortunately the much larger of the payments). I'm convinced the ING/Administrators' office is full of monkeys randomly pressing buttons.

So I now have £20 in my KE account. Do I dare transfer it out?!?!?

I just re-called KE ( rang them friday 25th ) 48 hours apparently meant working days. that seemed to me to be normal business practice. The lady on the phone took me through security and verified that, I was on their list, my contact details were correct and that someone would contact me tommorow by phone or e-mail.

I have to believe what i am told, in any event i will be phoning every day now untill this comes to a conclusion.

Apparantly they are going to update their website sometime to day.. So keep a look.
Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November

I have just finished speaking with a KE customer services operative who first told me that the transactions take "3 to 4 working days".

I replied that the website states "up to 3 working days" and he challenged my statement. So I logged on KE and read him the statement (it is at the bottom of the transfers page). So he said that the transaction has been delayed because of the exceptional circumstances.

Then I asked him if this is the case why is this information not on the website update, and he said that it is.

So I read him the statement of 23rd Oct that says:

    Backlog of Withdrawal Payments:
We are pleased to confirm that the backlog of external payments requested on or before Monday 20th October has now been cleared. These payments have been sent out and have started appearing in destination bank accounts.
If you have any further queries on payments that were requested on or before Monday 20th October, please contact our Customer Service team on 08451 31 32 34.
    Withdrawals from Tuesday 21st October:
BACS transactions are being processed within normal timescales and will be credited within 3 working days.
We are currently unable to process CHAPS payments within the normal timescale (i.e. same day or next day) and these requests will take 3 days. Please use the BACS service until further notice so that no fee is incurred.

I asked to speak with a manager but surprise surprise they were all having a meeting and I might get a call back but probably not today.

I insisted in being contacted today but he said it might not be possible.

I asked for compensation for all the aggro and lies and for the suffering that this situation has put me through and he said that I need to discuss this with the manager when he or she rings.

I am livid, this should not be happening, it is a bloody scandal, we need to get together and ask for masses of compensation, how would we go about it as a group?

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Hey guys, I was hoping for much better news for you all today, and I am gutted that ING promises have fallen through again. At least its a 48 hour deadline now and not a Friday deadline. Still here watching and waiting with you. I am so disgusted by their failed promises yet again.
    Money requested 08/10, left KE 22/10 - Arrived 24/10
  • It's now more than 2 weeks since I requested my money be transferred into my link account. It looks like I'm one of those 0.5 percenters. I was told that this would be investigated and I will here back in 2 working days, that's tomorrow. I won't hold my breath!

    Tomorrow, always tomorrow.

I’m lost for words. I can’t see one cleared transaction today.

Yes bigg, absolutely bizarre. That they (administrators+Brown+Darliing) could have screwed this up so much is unbelievable.

Really feel sorry for those still waiting for funds to appear from 7/8 October and earlier ............... sorry even for that dippy-lippy lady ;-)
STILL WAITING for refund of 1x £20 fee plus missing interest on our 2 accounts.
  • I've been trying to hold out on the heating until 28th November (other 1/2 BD)
But am so bloody fed up with this ING/KE situation AND being cold that i've just broken my pledge and turned it on (thermostat set at 16.2 though!!)

Do you think I can bill them for compensation on the gas bill as well?
