got £20 refunded too...try to remember all the names of the people you've spoken to.
If again we are led down the garden path...we let them and the whole world know what sh*t artists they are by naming and shaming

Just saw this - checked my KE account again (checked this morning - nothing) and I was amazed to see a transaction dated 7th October (BEFORE the OUTGOING transaction) for £20 CHAPS refund ...... this was not there this morning - BUT STILL NO SIGN OF THE transaction into my link account? grrrrrrrrrr!!:mad:

Just thought I better mention this.....
The person I spoke to told me to ring my linked bank account after 11.30am tomorrow to see if there was a pending transaction, so if you check your accounts first thing tomorrow and you don't see it, hopefully it should turn up mid afternoon like all the other times they transferred the CHAPS payments.
Keeping positive! What else can we do?

Is anyone in the same situation as me? I requested my closure on the 7th by CHAPS on the phone. Unlike most of the posts I've read, my account balance has remained unchanged (ie, is the same as before the closure request), however, KE confirm that the account is closed and the closure request was sent to their HO on the 9th October. Not even the £20 CHAPS payment was taken. I initially thought that maybe the request had just got lost in the mayhem, but I am assured that the account has been closed, but no one knows why the balance in my account doesn't show nil, or why I haven't received any money in my linked account.

My CHAPS transfer of 7th October still not received. The KE helpline have taken details (twice) and keep saying someone will call me back in 48 hours but I'm afraid I don't believe them. Neither they or ING have any transaction details and I am told by both that this is with an administration company in the UK and that the details have to be passed on to this mysterious and anonymous body. They won't give me contact details. I spoke with the FSA who were horrified that administrators were involved and seemed totally unaware of the situation. Does anyone else out there have an outstanding CHAPS payment from the 7th or am I alone in this?
