It would almost be worth losing the money to take away the helplesness I am sure the remaining of us feel. If nothing happens for 8 weeks after a registered complaint with the FOS, only then can they start their work, by then I just don't know where I will be mentally, life savings all but gone and losing around £5.00 a day in lost interest as well.

I am sure everyone following this thread feel as I do, so sorry for what you are going through. I really hope that these people will have to pay for what are surely illlegal actions in failing to repay your savings as promised weeks ago.

Still checking daily, hoping to see that people have finally got their money. I do not understand how KE/ING/Administrators are allowed to carry on doing this. Has anyone asked if they can have their money paid by cheque to eliminate any problems they're having with transferring funds? It's unbelievably ridiculous (understatement!).

I finally decided to take the plunge on Wednesday morning, and transfer out the paltry sum that I still had in Kaupthing. I did have a few problems logging in (my fault) and so phoned their customer service line, expecting it to be a struggle to get through but it actually only took seconds.

As BACS transactions should only take 3 days, it should be in my account today. But I've just checked and it hasn't arrived!!!

Will give it another day or two, but to save me ploughing through this enormous thread, please can I have some advice re how best to hassle them to get my money.

    Success!!!!
rep had money transferred into destination Account yesterday.
Even had returned phone call to check.
As well as email to check.
No mention of lost interest though.
Starting to prepare compensation claim now.

Mrs rep still in cyber space-both her and her money- defying the age-old maxim "ladies before gentlemen".

Hoping things are now moving for the remainder.

Finally! Money arrived in linked account today!! Will still be continuing with official ombudsman complaint for compensation for distress and inconvenience and will post news of any progress for any others going down the same route.
