I'm still here too....been without a computer on and off for 2 weeks now...so you have been in my thoughts even if I haven't been able to log on. Still keeping fingers crossed for all of you. The waiting game for you is unimaginable.I have money!!!!:j :j :j :j 31st October 3.30pm. Organised by nice lady from E & Y, very, very grateful.
£20 debit for CHAPS received 27th - dated 7th on A/C0 -
I haven't checked this forum for a few days and it is upsetting that people are still waiting. I urge people to make a formal complaint to the FSO if they feel they have been treated poorly.
There is a cost charged to the business for every complaint made against them.0 -
Has anyone on the list moved any further forward?
Please PM me if you don’t want to reply on the thread.

Once you're all sorted we'll all get together again to fight for the missing interest.
Soon........
I second that.. Lets get everyone re-united with their cash, then! we can all get together again to recover our lost interest! In my case I am still owed three weeks % while my money was in the ether.Chaps requested 8th October : money left my account 8th October : £20 chaps fee deducted : destination account Halifax : Chaps fee of 20 re-funded to my KE account 27th October but dated 8th October: On the spreadsheet and received generic e-mail 29th October. Funds paid to my linked account 4th November0 -
What a surprise - after I was told to wait for 48 hours, by which time the "BACS delays" would be resolved and the money would "definitely" be in my account, there is still no money in my linked account.
However, what they have now done is removed any trace of my previous transfer request on the 18/11 and initiated a NEW request on the 25/11 (for a slightly different amount). I am really shocked by this - firstly, they have been retrospectively changing the official system of record which would then negate any proof that previous transfer requests have been made, and secondly, they are initiating transactions which have not been requested rather than dealing with the ones that have. Can this be legal??
If nothing else, would advise anyone else to save statements regularly (esp after making withdrawal requests) as these can clearly retrospectively change at the whims of KE/ ING.0 -
And to make sure ING suffer the consequences for their appalling behaviour by lodging as many complaints as we possibly can.
They simply must not be allowed to get away with this!!!
Good luck to those of you still waiting!!
I've got a compliant logged with Financial Ombudsman, they had 8 weeks to sort, they have only four weeks left, although I have received one of my transfers there is still one missing. Wonder if it will be sorted within the next four weeks, and I wonder what the consequence will be if it isn't?? Probably not a lot.0 -
Morning all,
Assuming that Dan or one of the MSE team are still in regular dialogue with ING. Would it not be possible to at least make a payment of gesture to the people still waiting? - These people at ING have got to realise that they are putting folks into real hardship with this fiasco!! Bills/mortgages have to be paid & food put on the table !!!!!!!!
Could we also get an updated statement from ING of why people are STILL being bounced from one advisor/supervisor to another without moving forward in any way?

Having read the recent postings I know how frustrated you must feel. ING must tell each individual the specifics of why their monies are held up. If it’s due to a customer problem then the depositor will know what they have to provide to expedite the transfer. If it’s the transfer system itself then ING could easily get sufficient proof from each one affected – statements, certified bank letter etc – so that they could then pay out those people from their own suspense/miscellaneous account. In this case it would be usual for each depositor to sign a binding indemnity which undertakes to return any duplicated monies subsequently received. In the meantime ING’s efforts could be put to ensuring that these missing transfers are recovered from the banking system back to themselves.
What ING are probably worried about is that, if they do this, then people have become so resentful of them that they fear a backlash of refusals to return duplicated monies or the customer deduction of missing interest!
Having worked for a bank (though not in the last 10 years) I remember that the Banking Code ensured that when customers’ money went missing a great deal of urgent effort was put into the investigation. Reuniting customers with their money is very important as it prevents legal actions arising from cheques being returned when monies were actually available. I’ve known actions being brought for defamation!
Has any legal specialist looked at what’s happening here – Martin?0 -
I am still here too, reading the link everyday, wondering how much longer ING/KE can keep this debarcle of a situation going.
My thoughts are with those who STILL have not got their hard earnt cash back. I cannot imagaine how I would be feeling, knowing that WHEN they do eventually get their cash back, that they have probably missed any prospects of getting it into an account that would pay a decent level of interest.
Nice one, ING/KE hitting people more than just once where it hurts!0 -
Hard to believe that this fiasco is still ongoing and it's also hard to believe that noone in the media has picked it up and run with it!
HERE'S HOPING THAT THERE'S A RESOLUTION SOON!0
