    Hi folks,

If you could also post on here whether you have called the number and asked for the MSE helpline, that would be fab. and Bigg, if you don't mind recording that along with other info, carrying on the sterling work you've done so far, that'd be fantastic!

Hi - just to let you know that I called the MSE Helpline this morning who said that they would look into it and call me back (hopefully within an hour).

    Thanks for help all.

Please can we hear from someone who actually banks with Citibank and confirm this one way or the other?

I would suggest phoning Citibank before you attempt a transfer, explain the situation to them, before you try and make sure you use the correct code.

I have edited my previous post, thanks to agsnu's comments.
I withdrew £1.00 from my KE account to Citibank using BACS on November 7th, it worked OK using the 30-00-45 sort code which is also good for CHAPS, standing orders, direct debits, bill payments (presumably these last 3 payments are all done by BACS), this is stated on the Citibank paying in slips to be used when paying cheques in via their clearing bank, Lloyds whose sort code is 30-00-00. This one is incorrect for electronic transfers to Citibank and if it was selected when setting up your nominated account it should be changed NOW.
  • I've kept off this thread to avoid the clogging situation but check in daily to see how you're all doing.
Sorry for all the people still left here, there's no rhyme nor reason.
bigg - thanks for being the new listkeeper - should wantage-boy be on it? (see post 2948). Like all previous keepers you're doing a great job!

Totally irrelevant to this thread I know, but just to let Vectra know I got my cash from Icesave today. So simple compared to KE.

    Thanks Vectra (and others).

I repeated my withdrawal at 8am this morning. Better - in that I got a confirmation screen which I printed off, but still not good as the "available balance (including future withdrawals)" did not update to reflect the change! So, I've still no idea if the withdrawal instruction will be honoured. I'll phone them tonight if nothing looks to have moved.

Just had a call from the MSE helpline. Couldn't tell me anything new except that my problem is still under investigation and promised another update tomorrow.
