hI,
My payment, requested Monday before 2pm via bacs has just arrived via chaps. Ironically I had paid funds into Kaupthing on Mon to open fixed term account ,before I discovered they were not honouring fixed term accounts, even though it was displayed on their website, what a nightmare!0 -
My money transfered monday, just arrived in linked account 5 mins ago.0

At the possible risk of upsetting those who have a genuine concern about their KE money having still not turned up after several WEEKS (which is certainly not my intention), I think this thread is starting to be hijacked by people who are just a day or so late getting transfers requested recently.
I thought that the purpose of this thread was to provide information and support to those people who requested withdrawals around the time of the collapse and have still not seen their money. Many of these are suffering severe hardships as a result of these long delays and continue to benefit from our support.
I have some understanding of those with more recent transfers who, having read this thread, are becoming paranoid about it, but IMHO maybe this is a topic for a new thread, rather than clouding the issue we are really trying to address.
I also note that there are several posts concerning loss of interest and refunds of CHAPS fees. There is already a separate thread for this topic in this forum, which perhaps a more appropriate place for these.-

Regulars on this thread will, I hope, recognise me as a genuinely concerned member, will understand my point and will not start raising a Troll Alert on me.

I disagree katybull. This is a KE BACS/CHAPS thread and is the most obvious place for people to look when they have problems.
I for one was quite relieved to find others had posted before me with the same concern. As it happens, we're ok but this is still the most obvious place to look.
I still feel very sorry for those still waiting however.0 -
Katybull, I agree with you that post regarding loss of interest and refunds of CHAPS fees should be made on the thread set up specifically for that subject. However, I agree with sloughflint that this thread is the most obvious one for any concerns about BACS/CHAPS payments. My intention in posting on here today was to try to reassure people who had requested withdrawals on Monday that their transfers would take 4 working days and so avoid any further panic.
If we have offended any of you who have been waiting since early October for your money then I apologise - that was certainly not the intention. I have been watching this thread from the start and, although I got my own initial withdrawal through on October 17th, I will continue to check on here until every last one of you is repaid.BACS requested 8/10/08, received 17/10/080 -

Whilst I accept your point about the title of the thread, the sole purpose of its existence was for support and information on missing transfers (usually extremely large) originating on and around 7th October when transfers were effectively frozen.0 -

Argument for both sides, life’s too short0 -

On reflection perhaps that should read "original purpose of its existence", as there is some argument for a change, as long as we continue to support those still waiting for early transfers.0
