Reading posts further up, it looks as though another problem has happened and all Monday's transactions are failing.
Just read your post robborollover. I hope you are right. Maybe my test one was just treated differently.
Sloughflint, When did you request your £1 test transaction? I requested a £5 BACS withdrawal as a test on Oct 15 and it arrived in my account via CHAPS on Oct 22, i.e. 5 WORKING days later. I would not expect any withdrawal requested on Monday to be in linked accounts until sometime this afternoon given the recent experiences posted here. Keep the faith a little longer.BACS requested 8/10/08, received 17/10/080 -
It certainly looks like it from a reply to my secure message (of early this morning) to query the non-arrival of funds transferred on Monday:
Perhaps I am being overly optimistic here but I dont think that the reply you received from KE indicates that the transfers on Monday failed. BACS transfers should only take 3 working days, i.e. request on Monday, funds should be in linked account on Wednesday. We know that the requests are taking longer then 3 days - Zaphod and others have reported it taking 4 days last week, and it may just be this slight delay that KE are referring to.
I will start to worry if the money is not in my linked account by cob tomorrow.BACS requested 8/10/08, received 17/10/080 -

In all fairness, they do say "up tp 4 working days"0 -

The £1 test left on Friday and was there Monday with the word chaps next to it.0 -

I bet you'll see the money @15:00 today
My bacs took 8 days* last week rec'd c 15:30 Tues - after I wouldn't let them off the phone until someone would tell me when I'd get the money, kept asking for the persons supervisor and then the supervisors manager, and asked to be able to talk to the administrators - wouldn't let me though - so went back to 'I'm not going until someone with authority personally COMMITS to me when I will get my money - that shouldn't be beyond the capability of a financial institution that has already had 8 days notice'. No shouting, no swearing - polite but determined pressure (on the non 0845).
Remeber this is/was a NORMAL transaction - it wasn't one that had 'disappeared' since Oct 7 - so 'business as usual' was failing, too.
*8 days included day requested online which was too late to be counted = 7 days
7days included Sat & Sun = 5 FULL working days
My bank believes it was a chaps payment that was eventually received, not bacs.0 -
Beachy,
I also requested a withdrawal on Monday which has not yet reached my account. However, although you can request a BACS transfer, it seems that most (if not all) payments are being made by CHAPS or Swift. Recent experience amongst those posting on here is that the payments tend to arrive in the afternoon. Fingers crossed that we both get paid later today.
I also made request for bacs on monday morning. not in my linked account yet.0 -
I also requested a KE BACS withdrawal on Friday to take place on Monday, nothing has arrived in my linked account as yet.
By contrast, the withdrawal I made from ING last week was in my linked account in 3 days.0 -

i applied to transfer funds via bacs on Monday before 2pm,not in linked account to date. Do you think there are a lot of withdrawals to process due to them cutting interest rates?0 -
