New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

KE/ING are a disgrace, I requested a withdrawl to my linked account early on Monday morning and it is not in my linked account this morning after four working days The money left my KE account the same day.
I telephoned them this morning and was advised that they will refer my details to the managment at head office but could not give me a timescale for payment! The adviser said that the management were aware of the problem so it must me happening to other account holders.
I said that I need the money today without fail and that they should CHAPS the payment to my bank account at their own expense, again the adviser said that she would tell head office but as they are in administration the were no exact timescales.
I thought the UK saving accounts had been taken over by ING to administer the accounts . I really need access to my money it is after all meant to be an instant access account. I am considering legal action if this is not resolved today.

I also requested a withdrawal on Monday which has not yet reached my account. However, although you can request a BACS transfer, it seems that most (if not all) payments are being made by CHAPS or Swift. Recent experience amongst those posting on here is that the payments tend to arrive in the afternoon. Fingers crossed that we both get paid later today.

I have the same problem as you Beachy - requested my payment on friday (after the 2pm cut-off tho so was processed on monday). ING are a disgrace and I am now withdrawing all of my money and putting it in a Tesco internet saver who as of a few minutes ago were still offering 6.5% (including a 1.5% bonus. They have now done the same trick they played when they opened in the UK a few years ago - pay market leading rate then cut so that the average current account pays a higher rate ! Never going to touch ING ever again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately for you, 4 working days means just that .. Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday

Just to add to the above that I withdrew most of my money in KE on Friday night - so it went out on Monday morning. It's not in my account this morning (Thursday).

I am encouraged by the above post saying it will be there after 15:00 today.

That's interesting. I had to get quite assertive with the CSA just to be taken seriously and have my similar problem logged. She certainly was not aware of any problem and I was told that it wasn't fair to take down my details at this stage when so many other earlier problems still needed to be dealt with.
She eventually said she would put me on 'the spreadsheet' but that might have been to shut me up.

Yeah just to confirm what Zaphod said, my final bacs withdrawl took 4 days last week.

I know the unfortunates from 7/8 Oct etc wish that had happend to them, but hang on guys its FRIDAY tomorrow and hopefully you should see a big payout !!

Sorry to put a dampener but my £1 test transaction worked ( got sent via chaps :rotfl:). Arrived early on Monday.
Reading posts further up, it looks as though another problem has happened and all Monday's transactions are failing.:mad:

Just read your post robborollover. I hope you are right. Maybe my test one was just treated differently.

It certainly looks like it from a reply to my secure message (of early this morning) to query the non-arrival of funds transferred on Monday:

Dear xxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your secure message.

Today I have looked through the statement for your Savings account and can see a debit of £xxxxxx on the 10/11. So this is going through however there is a slight delay on the clearing of these withdrawals that we are currently working through to reach the destination account as soon as possible.
