New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

I was thinking perhaps some people who have been paid may not have been monitoring the thread and updating - however, I do recognise most of the names as having posted sometime in the last week - though not all.
Perhaps it would be an idea for people to personal message again if they need to be kept on the list?
I'm getting very busy at work atm, and am finding it more and more difficult to post updates to the list.
Is there anybody who could take the responsibility? I don't think I can maintain it for much longer.
Please personal message me if you can.
ThanksNo more offshore banking for me :rolleyes:0 -
Putting money into !! KE  Most people are trying to get out..
I know, at the time I thought I'd just stick with them as I have a FTD with 4 months left. If I didn't have that then I would've probably moved elsewhere. ING seem to be in a mess, I thought the missing money saga would be over by now.0 -
It's 11th November, 5 weeks since I requested my savings from Kaupthing Edge via CHAPS transfer to my bank account. They have sent me 3 emails, I have called them countless times, and still they will not commit to when they will send me my money. Apparently it has been "held up" at one of their clearing banks. Not sure what to do now to get this money back. They are still investigating what has happened and will not pay me until they get to the bottom of it. Is this legal? What can I do?
Any help, much appreciated.

I f I had not received my money, this is what I would have done. Look up my previous post. It tells you what you must do to succeed.....Illegitimi non carborundum

For your action to be succeed, you must do it properly. See one of my previous posts here. (search for it). The beuty of doing this is that if you do it properly, you are bound to win the phone call costs, which is not great, but it will be a thorough nuisance to ING. And if they do not resolve your problem, you can sue them again, and again, every week for your costs. It will concentrate their minds. If everyone else follows this, ING will get fed up and resolve it. Taking action in small claims court is easy, and you can do it online. But you must follow the requirements. See my previous post. By following this scheme, you are taking on ING on your terms.

Be aware:Going to court should always be the last resort. There are now a number of other ways of sorting out complaints, disputes and legal problems without court action, including arbitration, mediation and ombudsmen schemes These are often called alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes.
Court rules require you to think about whether alternative dispute resolution is a better way to reach an agreement before going to court.
Some claims can be made online using Money Claim Online

I received a phone call last evening from Allister Hemmings, he could not tell me anything concrete but at least it shows they are still working on the MSE 23.
Well into five weeks waiting now for a consideable sum.0 -
First post, but just wanted to say that I'm still waiting for money from Kaupthing Edge.
Made my BACS transfer on 4th October. However it later transpired that the linked account details were wrong (Alliance & Leicester) so it bounced back (according to A&L).
I am now informed that my money is languishing in a frozen Natwest clearing bank that Kaupthing used. A request has been made to the administrators to extract my money, but no one is giving me a timeframe on when this will be.
I am very very lucky that I don't need this money to pay for mortgage etc so have been relatively relaxed about the situation. But, it has now been a whole month with nothing (tell a lie, I received a random £14 interest credit in my account yesterday!).
Thanks to everyone's posts over the last few weeks. It has been reassuring that I am not the only one... although it looks like I soon will be!
Just to say that I finally recovered my money today with interest added.
Thanks again to all the people who have posted over the last few weeks. It has always been a great support to know that you are not the only one.
One other thing to say, is whilst the management handling of this has been terrible every call centre employee I have spoke to at KE, ING and A&L has answered the phone quickly and been very open and helpful. It must have been a horrible few weeks for them as well and the ones that I have spoken to deserve praise for their professionalism. Maybe I was just lucky with who I spoke to?!0 -

Hang in there 2little2late, you've been waiting a long time and hopefully not for much longer. Good luck today!0
