  • Could these modern day bankers with instant communication, spreadsheets, e-mail, telephone, computers, call centres, accountants, analysts etc., maybe sit someone down in a corner with a quill and ink like the last century, because I'm sure that one person would manage to get through more than two payments a day.

At this rate, the outstanding 23 with unknown others will need to wait another 2 weeks for their cash.

I wouldn't like to see ING having a difficult problem to deal with............
  • Good for you cs-adams ---now ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T :T

    hi,

    Got my money yippie..

    Had to do the following:-
Called FSA (0207 0661000) who advised me to make an official complaint to ING customer Services (0118 938 1865) they tried to pass me back to Kaupthing Edge. Stood my ground, and they took my details.

Recieved a call from KE Friday to say they had no news for me, recieved another call Monday (10th Nov) to say my money should be in the account that evening, at it was.

Thanks all on this site for your help and advice.

Hope you all get your money soon.
  • Anybody with money left in KE?
I noticed the interest rate has been reduced to 4.55% when I logged in this morning
    When did this happen?
Did anybody receive notice of this?

Hope those still waiting get some GOOD NEWS SOON!
    ING/KE Debacle
    8/10 CHAPS to Barclays
    31/10 MONEY ARRIVED
  • We chose to leave our money in Kaupthing and wait to see what happened.

The rate has gone down and we were not told about it.

I telephoned ING shortly after the transfer to ask if we coulkd set up and swap over to login via a new ING Account. They said they would write in a week.

After two weeks nothing heard so I rang again, I was told letters were going out soon.

Still nothing arrived so I rang again today. The lady I spoke to said it would be 'quite some time' before the letters advsing of the ING accounts would be sent out.

Heh ho, the 4.55% rate is not too bad at the moment so I will leave it there for now.

(It is only £3000 so I am not too worried about possible losses)
  • I've got a quid in KE/ING at that's all their ever getting from me

No change on these that I now have (so far anyway) ..

    Capital One 6.50% APR
    Bradford & Bingley (3) 6.01% APR
    Birirmingham Midshire (2) 5.99% APR

I noticed the rate change when I logged in yesterday so decided to risk transferring the balance of my account out. I have opened a 6 month fixed rate account with Saga and just hope that the transfer arrives rather quicker than last time!
    BACS requested 8/10/08, received 17/10/08
